"Seriously what is it with some people. Think I'm gonna start some positive threads on the main forum, it's getting more and more depressing.

To the OP, what do you mean with lucky? Do you truly believe that there's not one woman who would've come forward or something? Also, how can you say that he's lucky? The man died of an OD four years ago. If that's what you call lucky..... Well then. icon_confused.gif"

yeahthat

There seem to be more and more semi-trolls posting new topics, all of which have a negative tinge.

I know there are a lot of MJ fans who are pretty hurt that he is a child molester with a very small catalogue, even less unreleased, and could not play instruments, and I have a feeling a few are in this forum just looking to stir it up.

Actually, opiate overdoses aren't usually painful at all. Google it if you want the truth, rather than your sick fantasies.

But wasn't there vomit on the elevator panel? I also read he had vomit in his trachea. I can imagine that this isn't exactly comfortable. Maybe he wasn't in pain, but still, dying like that is agonizing.

word?... dead people have come back to life or have spoken from beyond, to tell of their pain free death experience?... what type of sorcery do you speak of?...

There was a woman who tried to tie him to metoo (which for the record is a legit and good thing overall-just like black folks shouldnt be murdered, women should not be raped or harrassed) over his relationships with young women like Mayte and Anna Fantastic and she got run off the internet by I believe Anna herself. It was a ridiculous article.

(And also for the record, I believe there is some truth to the Sinead story)

[Edited 9/11/20 8:00am]

That's correct. I'm still friends with Anna after interviewing her at her house and I sent her the link on WhatsApp. Ridiculous article - all the author had to do was watch our interview in the first place to get the real story.

I sent Anna a message warning her of a smear attempt a couple of years ago.

Accidental ODs have stomach contents that come back out the mouth after death.

It's absolutely possible to overdose on a drug but not die from it, not all overdoses lead to death.

of course i know that...but we are talking about Prince...he died...from an overdose (allegedy)... someone implied that people who die from opioid overdose, dont feel any pain... i was questioning that person as to what sources could have provided and verified that information...

Fair enough. I was just assuming they meant that since people who have overdosed and survived have reported that the experience was generally painless then we could probably assume the same was true for people who didn't make it.

I doubt that someone who overdosed on a heavy amount of powerful painkillers felt a tremendous amount of pain.

Wait...what's this thread about again? Oh yeah...

Only real accusations I heard about Prince came from Sinead O' Conner and I'm not sure what to believe with that. There were a couple of gold diggers claiming a love child after his death that were disproven if I remember right and some of his ex's related some strange, off putting and even controlling behavior but never anything in the way of rape or sexual assault so I doubt he'd have much to worry about.

His portrayal in Purple Rain is a little problematic and hasn't aged well but I consider that a work of fiction so...yeah.

Unless credible some shit comes out I think he's good. And anything like that would def have come out after he died and the money wasup for grabs.

So what I'm saying is lock the thread.

jeez, obv im not saying im glad prince died, or that hes dead, im just saying was he fortunate to not have to undergo any of that kind of scrutiny.

sure, he might have have a largely clean record, glad that seems to be the case, but as we all know, one mistake or nasty act, and people forget a mainly clean record (and you can argue about that quite easily). it doesnt take much these days.

Please take your very small intellect and do this forum a favour and leave. You are a dirt munger and readily show all your ignorance and arrogance. You know nothing and certainly not enough to open your mouth.

It's a minor thing and a little off topic but I'm still impressed that he went there in Purple Rain. He wasn't afraid of showing himself in a bad light, making bad decisions, doing things that anyone would regret in real life. For what is supposed to be a silly pop culture extended music video movie it's very brave and not at all something that he had to do. He could have just made a movie where he trades insults with Morris, gets sad when a girl leaves him because of his lack of success, and then he rocks out on stage winning her back with his musical genius, and it would have been enough. It's all clumsily handled but it's also a real attempt at complexity.

I think the violent scenes in Purple Rain were pure fiction and would not really come into play in the #MeToo era. Sames goes for the rape lyrics in Extraloveable and Lust U Always as long as they stayed in the Vault and were treated as stream-of-consciousness recordings?

I also don't think that having multiple girlfriends overlapping – as a rock star – is that out of the norm.

BUT - in the case of Anna Fantastic and Mayte, a very strong argument could be made for "grooming" them (especially Anna). He lavished gifts, travel, and especially his romantic attention on them before they were of age and he was in his 30's.

Yes he was fortunate to not have to live through #metoo nonsense, the Trump presidency, the pandemic, or the BLM mass hysteria and group psychosis. He was spared all of that, due to his untimely demise.

[Edited 9/11/20 17:35pm]

The fact that its been misappropriated, misrepresented (often with malign intent) or misunderstood by every other idiot with an internet connection is not the fault of the metoo movement.

Do you mean that the negative responses to BLM have been hysterical, or that BLM itself is hysterical?
