100% agreed. I mean, of course, the second half is very artistic and "Princey".

But the first half sounds like it could be the theme song to about 50 different Disney kids shows.

This period overall is 90% genius material, including the vault tracks. But to my ears this track is most deciedly in the "other 10%" camp.

Who was this song for? The Three O'Clock? cause it sounds like it would fit that lead singers voice.

I know there was talk before of this tape being possibly sped up but it turns out Prince was just a bit crazy

I like it! I mean, I can also see why it never saw the light of day but it could have ended up on some protegé album if it had made sense at the time.

This ones got that magical vibe that only prince could conjure and that guitar solo..

Is it definitely him singing?? Like, this could be someone else sped up as well? Definitely him in the monologue bit...

It sounds like the same source as the snippet that leaked out but the drums are way punchier on this version.

Also so amazing to actually hear the rest of the song. I really wasn't expecting what came next.

Yeah, no fan of this song...not when I had a part of it nor now that I have all of it. The song is one of those I do not see the poing in releasing..much like 'Colleen' from the 1999 set.

Ha! People have been crying out for this song for years and now we're going "Not great, no point in releasing this".

Also, Colleen is a cool as fuck song. I only wish they'd released Traffic Jam on the Purple Rain deluxe.
