We often get things at midnight, which is a little over two hours from now. But occasionally there is a delay.

A good day begins with a beautiful morning

Thank you for this yes
I was wondering about the meaning of my totally meaningless life and, there, you said it.
I'm not making fun of you, I suffer from depression and sometimes little things like that make me feel better yes

Aww. I suffer from depression and anxiety as well.
It was also a slight reference to Kanye’s ‘Father Stretch My Hands’
Which is a beautiful song. If you’re not a fan of hip hop production, I recommend the Sunday Service Choir version just called ‘Father Stretch’

And here’s a version i love; a fanedit that combines the two:

https://youtu.be/kEFxANCyiIw

There’s many things said about Kanye, but he really is a good person with a good heart.

I love how he switched up the vibe at the very end, a la the extended versions of "Raspberry Beret" or "Little Red Corvette". I don't have much to say other than that. The song feels unfinished and the guitar is buried in the mix, I can see why he left this in the vault.

TBH I always hated this track and I still think it's awful. It's also really badly recorded and mixed – and totally distorted. I just hope this is not an indication of how most vault tracks on SOTT.SDE will sound.

.

Witness sounds great though, so fingers crossed.

I can't listen right now.

Does this version contain Clare Clare Fischer's strings?

Is this from a cassette or an actual 2 inch master? It sound much less 'crisp' than Witness or ICNTTPOYM. Is anything known?

Just listened again. Have no words. At this point, slander won't be tolerated with me. It's everything I thought it would be, and that's just the first few minutes. My goodness. This man was an absolute FUCKING GENUIS!! Hurts all over again thinking about him being gone...

I just had to listen.

It really lived up to my expectations.

I loved it. It was just so great when it didn't fade and then the second part was the best part.

I feel this would make a great partner to Adonis and Bathsheba.

Probably one of the best tracks ever to come out of the Vault.

I love it.

Also on qobuz Clare Fischer is listed in the tracks details for orchestra.

But I'm not hearing it.

Love it! So much better as a full song rather than just the snippet we've had for a few years.

Wholeheartedly agreed! It's ethereally beautiful and unique.

And there are no issues with the sound, mixing or production for me either. Neither does this sound 'unfinished' - that comment could be applied to over half the original 'Sign 'O' Times' album anyway.

I've never been a fan of the hyper-speed Camille voice going on here...but a minor complaint as it fits the vibe of the song. Its cool to hear the whole song finally.

Great minds think alike as they say. wink Seriously though, someone said a few posts ago how well it plays with "Adonis". And it really does. I think both contain some of the best "sounds" I've ever heard come from him, and that's saying a lot. He was truly on a roll during this period, and it shows when you process both tracks together. Back to the this song though. It makes you feel a certain way listening to it. I have to admit, I was a tad bit concerned about the buildup vs. reality. And I'm saying it now...reality WINS!! Brilliant...

Why do I feel like after listening to this song, this could've been a whole new album look concept and sound for Prince if he chose to continue to go down this route with the song and apply it to other projects...
