I've always thought (artwork aside) that The White Album was comparable to SOTT. Both had less of the radio friendly singles per volume of songs. Both really genre hopped. Both had a lonely even isolated mood for many tracks. Both ended with a lush slow song with thick production. Interesting. I can buy that but maybe Emancipation? i like the Parade as Revolver (not just the b&w motif) as most fans and critics automatically put SoTT as the best Prince album (not general pop culture as that would be PR) but I think over time, Parade especially once we get to a SDE, will be seen as good or not better.
