Well on the one hand it's a good thing I have totally trashed my entire record/cassette/CD/digital music collection. On the other hand it's a good thing I have totally trashed my entire record/cassette/CD/digital music collection. Thank God for good old radio and television. I know I can restore everything too. That's something to look forward to. Maybe even revitalize the entire industry. I meant to say revitalize my own industry. All I've got is time and materials. joypad couch whofarted

Going to pick up my copy of this and all the vinyl albums when I get around to it... my record store is 30 minutes away and I haven't had a chance to get there yet.

I have all the music already, got them all when they were first released and have always enjoyed them... I feel very fortunate to have been part of the NPGMC back in the day. Somebody I was chatting to on there at some point had a second/extra copy of the CD of One Nite Alone... (the piano album) and offered to send it to me for free... so I've had an original of that since about 2004.

When I see the prices the original would go for.... woah.....

Anyway, great that all this music is being properly packaged up and released again... mainly I'm looking forward to hearing it all on vinyl, (mostly) for the first time....

Hmmm is it just me, or is the dvd actually worse quality than the original dvd?
We're here, might as well get into it.

I've pretty much given up the idea that this release will arrive in Australia. I had an amazon pre-order that I cancelled, re-ordered and cancelled again. I've watched the date on JB Hi-Fi change from May 29th to June 26th to July 10th to July 24th. I don't even care that much; I was just interested in having the boxset. When I get sick of waiting I'll just order it from Amazon US.

I've been listenting to this one a lot lately, too. So many great songs on here -- 'Objects in the Mirror,' 'Here on Earth,' 'U're Gonna C Me' -- all among my favorite Prince tracks.

I adore "A Case Of U" and "Avalanche". But tbh everything is good in there. I don't know how I paid almost 0 attention to it before

If we look at Chic's "The Chic Organization" release, we see packaging at a slighly higher level when it comes to quality, versus the Sony release of this thread.

Same amount of discs, booklet.

Sturdy cardboard case, each CD in cardboard sleeve in paper cover, similar to how an LP would be shipped back in the days.

So things can vary...

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
