According to Dictionary.com:

Hypocrite:

1-A person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc, that he or she

does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

2-A person who feigns some desirable or publicly approve attitude, especially one whose private life,

opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Judge for yourselves.

According to Dictionary.com:

Appreciate:

1-
to be grateful or thankful for.

2- to value or regard highly; place a high estimate on.

Ungrateful:

1-
unappreciative; not displaying gratitude; not giving due return or recompense for benefits conferred.

2- unpleasant; distateful; repellent.

No one individual is perfect. All of us are flawed. Think about what kind of person you want to be. Think about what one had given and what one has taken. Yeah judge yourself!

Trust, I know full well that no individual is perfect and that ALL of us (myself included) are flawed. Also, I definitely know what kind of person I am and try my best to be. My reason for listing the definition of hypocrite and said to judge for yourself, is because, let's be 100% honest here, some clearly are stating how Prince pretended to live a clean life, drug and alcohol free, even banning drugs and alcohol use of others around him, yet not really living by the same standards himself. Like it or not, that is the definition of a hypocrite....Prince or not! Needless to say, he hid it very well, because so many of us fans, including myself, would have put our necks on the chopping block, that Prince was as pure as they come! Imagine how shocking it was when those that really believed that he was the drug free, clean living person that he claimed to be, learned that he died from a drug overdose, and had been using drugs all along! Trust me, I felt the same way about Michael Jackson as well, when I found out that he was using drugs and died because of it! I actually bought the naive, innocent act that Michael Jackson showed the world, the same way that I bought the clean living, drug free act that Prince showed the world as well! So just because it's Prince, doesn't mean that the truth about him cannot be spoken! Also, I don't think anyone here is being ungrateful, simply because they are speaking the truth about who Prince really was, and who he wanted people to think he was. That does not mean that people who speak the truth about him does not appreciate his talents and gift of music. Some people seem to idolize celebrities, worshiping them so much, that they don't like hearing anything negative about them, even when it's the truth, but Prince was not perfect! He was not a flawless human being! He had demons to fight in his life just like everyone else, and was human just like we all are!

He was not vegan. He was primarily vegetarian but occasionally ate fish. Most people go in and out of that. Sometimes he wanted to drink wine. He wasn’t a drunk. Sometimes he wanted ice cream and cake. He had a crazy sweet tooth. It happens. His bathroom products were more regular compared to what I thought he would be using. I have all that stuff in my bathroom. People change. Things change. That’s called being human. Why the fuck do you people try to hold celebrities at some standard or up on a pedestal as if they have to be perfect? Lol

His bro and sis tried some sort of intervention, right? I just can't see how a person can go for days without sleep unless they are on some sort of controlled substance. Lenny Kravitz mentioned flying in from the Bahamas and staying up for several days trying to keep up with P. My words are only from experience. May I ask how you know he was on coke for 90% of the time?

Can you ever write something that isn't "well known" negative shit stirring? What a dumb thread. Please go back to informing us of who you think Prince stole his music from, yuk.

0% truth in this. Everyone around him denied him using it and there were 0 signs in in his autopsy and at Paisley Park of any coke.

Coke is not important as there were other opioids, enough to kill mr Prince.

That's not the claim above.
Someone in here made some bullshit claim about Prince being on coke 90% of the time PRIOR to his opioid addiction.

I did see someone asking for substatntiation of certain coke-related claims.

I meant to say that the brouha about that is not important.

Yeah sure... Zero proof or even evidence of this stubborn and ignorant claim...
There is, however, enough evidence and eye witnesses of him using (a lot of) vitamin B shots for that much needed energy boost right before a (after)show, you know, like every other entertainer does who asks way too much of his body...
So don't be surprised when you hear that he used this regularly to get through some "all-nighters"...

Ah ok thumbs up! I really doubt he used coke and his bandmembers said he stayed far away from that stuff and they even said he chastized the around him when they used it.
But anyway, the story is that Prince wanted to work with Sly and Sly didn"t want anything to do with him. But there seems to be some rumor that Sly gave him the demo of Madhouse's 6 as thank for Prince bailing him out and paying his child support.

To everyone orgnoting: Yes I've heard the claims, stories and anecdotes from various employees and bandmembers about his alleged coke use, but still they're just stories that I take with a bucket of salt...
Sure, he probably tried it out like any normal human-being in his (toxic) record business environment, but to say he was a frequent user, I've yet to see any proof or evidence...
Yes he was a master at hiding his intakes but still there weren't any signs of frequent cocaine use...

But, honestly, why care if he did? It's not like he was shooting up heroin every chance he got or going all "Rick James" on people...

And about being a hypocrite and all; Seriously??! It's fucking "Prince" he mastered hypocrisy and used it every chance he had...

It's true, a lot of the wackier Prince stories would be easily explained by coke. The story in the thread about Prince being a nightmare client where he's standing in the corner staring at someone for hours? Well a cokehead would need frequent bathroom breaks, but it would at least explain some of it.

He was also an alleged vegan, but his fridge was full of Haagen-Daaz ice cream.

Remember, on April 21, 1996, Prince had a hospital visit from being overly drunk or something with alcohol, that caused a heart issue.

It was often talked about how Lisa loved her cigarettes and Heinekin after a show, or during her off time. She wasn't a chain smoker or a drunk, but she was certainly having a drink. Then there's that time Prince tried to micro-manage Wendy when she had a beer in Sheridan Wyoming. I mean, who wouldn't need a drink in Sheridan Wyoming?

And look at his bathroom products, some of which are probably not vegan, and are certainly tested on animals and/or aren't cruelty free. So - how deeply was his "nothing with a mother" stance then? How deep does someone wanna go, because his humanity far outweighed his father earth persona. lol

So yeah, a lot of his public mystique is quickly broken down and proven false when you simply look at the facts. Prince wasn't a liar, he was a good salesman at the whole mysterious rock star gig. But he was snackin' Tostitos and salsa like the rest of us.

Prince was only vegan for a few years; by the 2000s, he was eating fish for more protein (but no red meat) as well as cheese. Y'all make shit up because you don't know shit.
What's your deal with "alleged", usually used in conjunction with criminal activity?

Even Prince Vault had him listed as Vegan for quite a while after he died. I'm guessing some fams were invested that he continued that for life. Because it's obvious in all kinds of articles, from chefs to dinner guests, that he wasn't.

God, you're gonna place a race card, right now???

I said "allegedly," because unlike you I wasn't making a fully factual statement because I didn't know Prince. I'm going on outside evidence, not making 100% statements like you. But my statements stand on their own. Calm yourself.

Thank you!
The problem with being famous is you say something once and it's repeated forever, like for the few years P was vegan. That crap is still being repeated, like here, by the self-designated experts. It's obvious that a man who ate fish, cheesy pastas, cheesecakes, ice cream forever! had not been vegan for a long time. Pescatarian, yes.

Here's one source, talking about 2008 experiences as his chef, but the "vegan" thing is STILL repeated ad nauseum 12 years later.
