This Could be Us: AOA version or HNR version?

I love the guitar solo in the HNR version.

But otherwise I prefer the AOA version. The synths on the AOA version are very unique, hypnotic and otherworldly. They make the song stand out. In contrast, the syns on HNR are conventional and uninspiring. Also the HNR version has a few moments of cringe-inducing over-production.

I love everything about the AOA version. The swishy atmospheric synths, the semi hidden dirty lyrics, the short guitar solo at the end
.
The HNR version is a song of 2 halves. First half reminds me of Ross from Friends keyboard skills with the comical sound effects. The second half; I really dig the guitar solo and bass

I totally agree.

As I stated in my original post, I love the second half of the HRN version with the guitar. If I could edit that off and attach it to the AOA version, the song would be perfect.

And I dislike the HNR version for similar reasons to those you state. The synths are pedestrain in the HNR version. In contrast, the synths is the AOA version are inspired, unique, hypnotic, otherworldly.

And I hate those stutter effects on the HNR version (I don't know the proper term... similar to scratching on vinyl but a slightly different digital effect). They sound like a kid trying out the cheesy effects on his Casio keyboard. It's just too over-produced.

Like both versions but it's HNR version that really does it for me.

Could mash-up be a more appropriate term for that kind of production?

I just listened to that song. It reminded me more of June than of This Could B US HNR version.

Take a listen to Moments Of Love of June back-to-back and let me know what you think. I could be completely off-base.

Crediting would be key in this case, I failed to consider before chiming in!

I think I actually like this HNR version of the song--the big sound-washes gives it a "breezier" feel that's more appealing to me, lending a less weighty & more wistful tone to the lyric.

Defo HNR version... not that it’s any great song either way.
.
It’s just that AOA is such a shit album.
I’ve been informed that my opinion is worth less than those expressed by others here.
