If anyone prefers Tevin’s version, then you haven’t heard the version Prince first played at Paisley Park during the Beautiful Experience. That version is quality! And for those of you cringing cause Prince sung it!? FFS you really need to learn how to differentiate between art and reality. Next thing you’ll be opposing that Shhh be included in TGE Deluxe Remasters because it has a line relating to pedophilia. Dumb arses.

I do not think it was inappropriate for T to have sung that song when he was under 18. Generally young boys do not wait to turn 18, 19, 21 to start having sex, they start younger. And if they are just thinking about it, they can be a minor to think/fantasize about sex.

I like Prince's version better than T's. The "home work" verse can also apply to college students!

Many artists wrote or sung a song with lyrics that some people think are inappropriate. For example: some religious people may not like Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young lyrics. ...."Come out Virginia don't let me wait, you Catholic girls start much to late....Aw but sooner or later it comes down to faith, I might as well be the one".
