These were posted by CBS as promo. they are also available elsewhere (officially, so legit), e.g. https://www.msn.com/en-us...i-BB12eYDn . Just use Google: https://www.google.com/se...ak+Peek%22 . However, they do seem to be region-locked to US viewers only.

No one is mocking his music. But some of you nutcases prefer his music be forgotten than popular acts who you deem inferior to keep it alive and pay it tribute. Don't think I don't understand the sentiment...Prince was of the same ilk...such a tragically controlling figure that he didn't get that with the internet it's about exposure and people paying to see you that matters...not who owns the masters

people keep saying "his music will be forgotten"... Marvin Gaye been dead for almost 40 years...nobody has been doing annual Marvin Gaye TV tributes and nobody has forgotten his music..or Sam Cooke's music, nobody has forgotten Rick James music, or Jimi Hendrix music.. the list of past musicians who have transitioned from their physical form is endless, and they are seldom "forgotten"...we also have albums, cassettes, tapes, videos, and endless streaming services for audio and video not to mention our personal memories...so to think these recurring, cheesey, ritualistic, TV tributes are necessary to preserve Prince's legacy and memory, is an incredibly ridiculous premise

You do realise this conversation is not about Prince fans right? Its about legacy in popular culture so your personal physical media means sweet FA....

Would be good to do a poll to see which acts 15- 25 year olds recognise and do it ever 5 years or so...I bet with your attitude maybe 2-3 Prince songs will be remembered...in 20 years time but the artist himself not so much...

Any word on if they'll be showing any actual footage of Prince himself? Some of these type of tributes I've seen of other artists, like Elvis, still squeeze in a few minutes of footage of the artist being honored. Would be nice if they worked with his estate to get a few minutes of never-before-seen footage.. would definitintely boost ratings!

thank you. I'm looking forward to Earth, Wind & Fire singing 'Adore', H.E.R. singing 'The Beautiful Ones', Gary Clark Jr. 'The Cross', Sheila E., etc. Just looking forward to the show in general. I was happy to hear they were televising the tribute. I hope it will spawn a whole new generation of Prince fans.

Yes. And I was happy about it, hence my comment. Do you have a problem with that? (Don’t answer; that was rhetorical. You have a problem with everything).

Oh, how I still miss my PRINCE! Still unreal, after all the time that has passed. A tribute was done for Stevie Wonder a few years ago, an it was excellent! This one should be as well. biggrin prince yes eye

Since Sheila E is the Musical Director and whoever else responsible I can't believe they going to let the Foo Fighters do "Darling Niki" on National TV with all the other Hit Prince songs he has!!! Heck, they could have done Computer Blue, Dolphin, 7, 17 Days, A Million Days, Alphabet St, Blue Light, Anna Stesia, Batman, Dreamer, Colonized Mind, Endorphmachine, The Future, June, Into the Light, My Name is Prince (haha), Live 4 Love, Love Sign, Mutiny, Mountains, Musicology, Partyman, Party Up, Pop Life, Thunder, or some other song! You all Opinions?

Personally... I am holding out hope against hope for an EPIC tribute to Prince.

Put the WHOLE GANG on stage; Wendy & Lisa, Sheila E., Cat, The Revolution, the NPG, Diamond & Pearl, the Twinz, Candy Dulfer, Elisa Fiorello, Liv Warfield, Shelby, etc., etc...

...then give me The Time, The Family (or FDeluxe if that's what they want to be called now), Apollonia 6, Mazaratti, Jill Jones, Andy Allo, Tamar, 3rd Eye Girl, Judith Hill and YEAH even Carmen Electra.

...then bring out Chaka Khan, Sheena Easton, Patti LaBelle, Martika, and anyone ELSE who wants to join the funk.

I want them ALL. One epic night that goes through his songs from beginning to end.

That is my DREAM. My WISH. My FANTASY.

But...since that's never going to happen...

I'll take whatever tribute comes our way.

The other person is James Harris aka Jimmy Jam. Foo Fighters did a fairly good cover of Darling Nikki that Prince liked .

cool I concur with that statement if in fact it was even drugs at all!!!!! I'm still struggling with that. It has been so easy throughout history to blame a rock stars demise on drug use and just forget about it after that. Prince lived too wholesome and clean to take that path at that age and point in his career. I jsut don't buy it and never will!!!!!

Well I be dog! biggrin I was just thinking are they really going to say (masturb.... on tv)? And you do know P said in some interviews in his latter years that he was ashame of some of the stuff he did when he was young. smile I think he did tease a concert audience with the music from D.N. in his latter years but he never sung the lyrics to it anymore I think for at least a decade or longer... wildsign eye prince
