He is in good health he just slimmed down. Not fair to imply 'still' that his health is in question.

Mr. Harris was a very big and stout man...he hasnt just "slimmed down"...he has lost ALOT of weight in a relatively short period of time...i ve always loved his musical contributions and want/hope nothing but the best for him and his loved ones... im just very concerned, and justifiably so...nothing but love for the man, here

I think he already addressed it, he's in good health

Sounds predictably horrible - and cynical, to boot. disbelief

If you’re wondering, by the way, why now for a Prince tribute, the special’s executive producer, Ken Ehrlich — who just wrapped up his four-decade run at the helm of the Grammys — pointed out onstage that CBS plans to air “Let’s Go Crazy” on April 21, four years to the day since Prince died of a fentanyl overdose at age 57.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Weird that FKA Twigs didn't sing, wasn't even asked, and instead just danced on a pole?? Weird that so much emphasis was put on the dancers in general. At one point two men came out and I thought, it's a gay riff on Diamond and Pearl!! Bless Usher's heart, he worked so hard to simulate what Prince did effortlessly. He's still fine, and it's always good to see him move, but he's cut from a very different cloth.

.

All these limp tributes, with our best artists straining to get close to Prince's memory, just reinforce how incredible he was, and how blessed we are to have experienced him.

She was asked

According to Twig's statment on Twitter, she was not asked.

I can almost guarantee you that the Grammys have an array of suitable mics and that Sheila's explanation makes about as much sense as her claim to being engaged to Prince. Oopsie.

On FB, there are videos of the Foos from the tribute. Just great! In a 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper, Dave - when asked for his opinion about Prince - said he was the best at everything - better than anyone ever. So the band came to this show with tremendous respect. Plus they never found out why Prince sang their song at the Super Bowl - some thought it was because he was still upset about their Darling Nikki cover. Who knows?

Dave mentioned the whole Prince wasnt keen on their cover...but he followed up saying one of his greatest moments in music was jammin to Whole Lotta Love with Prince in an empty arena.

Yet the Billboard story as told by Ruth mentioned that the Foos were the only ones who could do his rock songs justice? Confused.

Indeed. You would think as being a moderator for the biggest fansite he would have stayed to watch the biggest tribute event since his death. But as usual his ego got in the way.

So no songs from the 90's or 00's? I would have loved it if the Foo Fighters did something from TGE or Chaos and Disorder. If the song selections were about what would appeal to TV audience what the heck was Darling Nikki doing in the set list? I'm sure Dave Grohl & Co. could easily have learned Endorphinmachine, Dolphin or I Like it There. I'm sorry but it's complete BS that Prince's work post Love Symbol album gets zero attention.

The only songs covering this were from the music videos being played in between performances/setup. The only videos I recall from this period were Cream, Musicology, TMBGITW.

Baby Im a star at the Grammys, Uptown, Dirty Mind, I wanna be ur lover, Sexuality...those are the only other videos i can recall

Yeah, I read his write-up a few days ago. For some reason he got there late, and did not realize it was a "no photos" event. (his words, not mine) Anyhow, they caught him snapping pics or video and took him to a room and made him delete them all. From what I could tell, he then got mad and left early. Said since it was not in a theatre, most all seating was flat,, and you couldn't see because of people in front of you. Sounded like not a concert, just a stop and go production for TV.

I would have stayed anyway, just to hear all prince 's music being played....

Jimmy Jam(whom I ran into at the 50th Motown Anniversery & saw again at Morris's Grammy Museum sitdown conversation with his arthur David Ritz) looks great & is in excellent health.

I was also wondering about why Janelle Monae would not be there.

D'Angelo?

D'angelo, Maxwell, George Clinton or/and Bilal should always be considered in a Prince tribute. Who knows, Maybe they were asked to but declined.

It's produced by the Grammy's for broadcast in April.

The network will stream it, and then it will probably go. to Hulu or one of those for a limited time.

Thanks.

April 21st to be exact on CBS.

I was at the tribute. I had a great time. Yeah there were errors but it was fun being around fans.

Haven't we seen that?

Nobdy would have minded George Clinton, but he doesn't have much of a voice anymore.
