.

I can agree there, but no, 'the Estate' made a 'decision'....

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

For now they made the right decision- in this time of immediate headlines "rape" would get Prince mentioned again for all the wrong reasons. As head of the Estate I would defintitely do all I can right now to preserve his legacy particularly after this death by accidental overdose. Prince was the Mozart of our times, one of the greatest musician/songwriters ever to have lived so it is important to do everything possible to maintain his positive legacy. The irony though is cause both songs (particularly Extraloveable) are so amazing musically the 1999 Box Set does suffer from their non-inclusion. Not in the sense the set is less good cause it's an un believable package but these two songs were some of the sharpest musically and lyrically of the time and a lot of the other songs included seem to hint at them. With these two songs on the 1999 Deluxe set it would have been a perfect document of this period as opposed to incredible but missing two of the most important un-released songs of the period. Still for now the Estate made the right decisions but we MUST get these songs sometime into the future.

Yes, in the nowadays 'en vogue' vain of 'inclusivity' we should have had these songs on the box set...

Most likely no-one would have noticed since who is actually listening to obscure unreleased prince tracks aside from us. I understand their caution even if I don't agree with it.

It's clear that we both absolutely love Prince's music.

I know emotions and frustrations have sometimes run high on this thread, but...

PLEASE consider speaking differently about this in the future. Please don't contribute to stigmatizing of medical issues.

If Prince had died from heart disease or complications of type 2 diabetes...would you associate those medical conditions with the same comments about critical importance of maintaining positive legacy? We are all human, the health-outcome playing field is far from even, and onset/course of all of these conditions is determined by complex interplay of genetics and environment.

In case it wasn't clear, I was trying to say that it wasn't a negative. Having a medical condition doesn't make someone a bad person. I was responding to a post that included "...I would defintitely do all I can right now to preserve his legacy particularly after this death..."
