I'd be happy to see it come out again, preferably on BluRay, even if the picture quality can't be improved much. It's an amazing show that people need to see. Surely, I'd love to see other shows released as well, but producing new video releases is far too costly for the estate at this point, I'm afraid.

Official VHS/etc (was it on two tapes?)

Bootlegs DVD of the transmitted version (vs the LD version)

Bootleg DVD of the LD

And it may be 11,442 days ago at this date, but that show has been iimprinted in my mind.

There will not be a HD release as the show was recorded on video instead of film.

So why bother with a DVD? It will still be rehash in my eyes.

But perhaps passable if it is not the only video in the set.

So we just agreed that Lovesexy Live has been issued basically only once, about 32 years ago – on two formats that will soon only be remembered by grandparents.

I do have both the VHS and the LD editions though, and the European LD release has a mastering error: there's a very annoying wow & flutter issue for almost 20 mins on side 1.

Lovesexy needs a remaster for poor sound quality ONLY. Nothing else, the album IMO was not that great and the tour was blah..again IMO. The outtakes /b-sides of 1988 were not that great like 1985,86 and 87.

Loudness is not 'quality'. (see the PR remaster debacle)

I'm sure we'll get it eventually but the estate seems to be working their way forward with the biggest sellers and older stuff first. So I'd expect SoTT, Parade and maybe even D&P first. I dunno.

To be honest, I want a huge vault collection and a bunch of live stuff...aftershows, concerts and properly mixed bootleg classics...before remasters. The most interesting things to come out of PR and 1999 remasters were those sorts of things.

Where did you hear there's a 12" of the title track? I don't believe anyone on this thread suggested this exists. I would love if it did -- that is one of my all time favorite Prince songs.

I would suspect your stereo for the treble and bass issues.

Volume can be compensated.

If we could get a 1999-type remaster of Lovesexy that could help...
