Could “No Call U” have been intended to be a duet? The way the vocals switch from “her” in the first half to “him” and “boy” in the second half make me wonder. It’s a cute song as is and it could have been a playful duet between Prince and Vanity.

Hmmm - never noticed that before. Could this be a case where they "re-created" the mixdown tape using masters, and maybe missed that little detail?
