He's not talking about the soundtrack. Prince was shown a rough cut of the movie and came back with a soundtrack and a score. They didn't use the score and it wasn't released.

Also, I hate to rank albums, so won't give it a specific place, but the Batman soundtrack is one of my favorite Prince albums. I've listened to it all the way through more than any other album over the past year.

I watched the movie a few years ago on german television, restored with the original soundtrack.

That 'Love Theme' from Batman has really got a hold on me! Danny used 'Scandalous' as the basis for his song and it's got me in a trance; i've always loved it.

I had to buy the song recently. It's so dramatic.
