I've always been intrigued by these, being a big Ali fan.

Is there any further info apart from what's on PVault?

I'll leave the list of 5 to the rest, but give me "Adonis & Bathsheeba." I'd blast that one in the shower room on repeat...!

The Divine is a song that Prince randomly talked about forever. That's probably why there's such interest in it. If I remember right, HM Buff said it sounds like a gospel We March. The quote below is from 2008...12 years after he originally recorded it.

He declines to play The Divine, a song so "mind-blowing" he doubts he'll ever release it. "The minute the harmonies hit, I put it away," he says.

Cosmic Day is a fantastic little song that recently leaked in fantastic quality with the second verse but still fades out early before (a guitar solo?) It's Camille-esque.

Lyrics:

(cleaned up from moonbeamlevels4u)

This is a cosmic dream
I look outside my window
I see blue emerald green
There goes a mermaid, uh-oh
Swimming in the sky
How did it get there? Oh my

There's nothing strange, I'm not deranged
I only want every day
2 be hard 2 beat, another cosmic day

Hey
Tra la la la, tra la la la, tra la la la la la

Walking alone in the dark (Alone)
I see nothing U see (I see U)
Could I be in a park
Or flying in the deep sea
I wish U'd hold my hand
Then everything it could be

There's nothing strange, we're not deranged
We only want every day
2 be hard 2 beat, another cosmic day

Hey
Tra la la la, tra la la la, tra la la la la la

1) We can funk (1986 version)

2) Old Friends 4 Sale (1986 version)

3) G-Sopt

4) In a Large Room With No Light

5) In All My Dreams

A few caveats.....

With We Can Funk, that would also include Girl of My Dreams, and Can't Stop This Feeling I Got That were mixed to come before We Can Funk

Still would really love to have Joy In Repetition with the Lovesexy party voices removed and the slow drum intro restored....

Thats all...........

My wants are simple....

.

-Unknown tracks, preferably that aren't listed on Princevault or in Duane Tudahl's research

-the full intro of Joy In Repetition

.

Other than that, give me the stems... I want all the multitracks so I can remix and sample and have loads of fun with the most amazing music ever recorded! (for this, I'd even be ok with (and willing to pay for) being locked up for however long I pay for in a room or annex of Paisley Park so that the end results will never get out in the wild. I can imagine a weeks holiday spent in a room with a soundsystem a DAW and all the Prince stems I can eat....

That mix blends those songs perfectly and makes me think that was the intention of Prince to put on a record although I always wondered if someone just did a good job of mixing those for a boot release. I have that mix archived somewhere and need to dig it up...been so long since I've heard it.

Hi Srodaz.

Those three songs were actually designed to be performed live in quick succession. Prince was toying with the idea of putting on a musical titled 'The Dawn', and these three songs were to be included in the project. This is why they were never configured to an album at the time (which is a real shame we We Can Funk is sensational).

Other songs intended for The Dawn were 'Coco Boys' and I believe 'Crucial'. Prince eventually shelved the project.

The Divine is not circulating but exists from around 1999 or so, I believe. (The year, not the album.) Cosmic Day is from 1986 and is circulating in shit quality - imo, one of his most overhyped songs.

Not that it was on the Camille album, but Cosmic Day would have been a perfect song on there to confuse a lot of people!

That would be an unbelievable album! Hoping the estate starts releasing those shelved projects at some point. Don't get me wrong I'm digging the remastered versions (PR Deluxe and 1999) but would love to see some of those full unreleased sets.

I had a dream last night that the estate released ‘Crystal Ball: Volume 2’

The original’If I Could Get Your Attention’ was on it
Joshua Whelton remixes were on it (i’m not joking, this is what I recall from my dream lol)
A track called “Cookies and Jazz”
A track called “Speak”
And an acoustic demo track of “Graffiti Bridge” from 1986 (guess he had some downs that year)

My brain lol
