The wise 1 who understood the law
That was handed down from God long ago
Reflected the true meaning 2 his woman every day
And she surrendered her discerning of it n2 his care and keeping
Because she trusted he would lead the right way
Her children n subjection 2 her and she n subjection 2 the wise 1
The wise 1 n subjection 2 the almighty God
And 4ever is n subjection 2 God

There's a theocratic order.
There's a theocratic order now
This is how it's gonna be
If you wanna be with me
Ain't no room for disagree
One+one+one is three
Take you're time and think it through
If this is what you wanna do
I ain't really that hard to please
Cause one+one+one is three

I've Never felt a love that runs so deep
The way we communicate is in the way we breathe
U told me "This is the safest place u'll ever be"
So tie me down, i'm ready
I wonder if i'm the only wisdom that u seek
Open me up, i'll be the best book u'll ever read
If beauty and presence and power were the key
So, stop the car, i'm ready
I question if this is how it feels to be alive
I see ur spirit smile in between ur sighs
Pick me up, wash me down with the color of ur eyes
So if i die 2nite, i'm ready
Nothing more
Nothing more
There will never be nothing more
There is nothing
Bring out the child that resides untamed
Tho our bodies age, the fire still remains
And with each rising sun, our souls interwoven and this is what i call Heaven
And there's nothing more
There is nothing
There is nothing

Nothing More - Andy Allo

But again.....this is Prince waxing poetic about being an older man who is excited about dating a much younger girl (Andy), and he wants to show her all of his "wisdom" and that he's "the best book she'll ever read". So, still very personal to his own situation.

I guess it can work if it's an older man marrying a much younger woman who wants vows biggrin

But didn't AA write this? Googled that she was writer. But I have wondered before if he gave credit to her, or others, when in fact he wrote it. I don't know which song on Superconductor but there was a line that says, their story was hiding behind the moon.

Not important, but that thought did cross my mind before. ❤️

Yes, Prince often gave credit to proteges/band members when he actually wrote the song. Those lyrics have Prince-isms all over them biggrin I would bet he wrote all or most of that song.

Come up with your own personal vows that mean something to you. Save Prince for the first dance and the rest of the music that night 🥳👌

I guess I just assumed it was her because of the credit as songwriter, and thought she sounded mature for her age.

She may have been mature for her age, but at 22 yrs not quite old enough for those lyrics smile
