Thank you! I have Exodus on cassette, too. Would be nice to rip both.

Then again, may I should just leave them sealed up, since I already have the digital versions.

If you say so.... We already knew it was coming for months. I said that there were rumblings that Paisley was a going to re-open as a live venue. I was right. Yes, the reissues may have been that official announcement, but we knew it was coming. [Edited 8/1/19 13:48pm]

That officiall announcement has already had articles by billboard, rollingstone and variety... So maybe that Paisley Park live whatever thing has been announced as well, but that is not the official announcement or the big announcement.

The announcement that Paisley Park made the short video for last week about "U never know what might happen", was about the Nooky Jones concert. Paisley Park hasn't sent any messages out about the 3 releases. We've all known those 3 releases would be the next ones for at least a month.

Nope, it wasn’t. It was indeed part of the multiple announcements that appeared today (more of a surprise announcement than anything). But this is not what Paisley Park teased a few days ago.

I feel sorry for Sony. This phase of the legacy releases is a drag. Don’t get me wrong, Chaos & Disorder is a great album, but a three hour album that sold limply the first time around and a sampler cassette that was made to advertise a good album that they can’t sell!
Sony needs to compile an alternate version of ‘The Gold Experience’ that omits TMBGITW. I know it’s not ideal, but there is a lot of material from the Gold era that could be restored to make up for it. Maybe title it ‘The Gold Album’ or ‘The Dawn’ and stick on Days of Wild, Interactive, Acknowledge me? Something to that effect. Just something so they’re not lumbered pressing special purple vinyls of promo cassettes that plug fashion brands throughout.

Was expecting very littel from this 'announcement' and it was still disapointing.

Sony does not have the right to the Vaults until 2020 or 2021 believe as stated in their contract.

True, although I believe they do have the rights to material from Crystal Ball 1998. That covers Interactive and Acknowledge Me. I guess the only issue would be that they don't have the rights to the studio 'Days Of Wild', only a live one which probably wouldn't fit.

Essentially it would be a compilation similar to 'Anthology: 1995-2010', but only focusing on Gold Experience era tracks. It's not a perfect solution, but I reckon it would have been a better strategy than releasing Versace in it's place.
