'Schoolyard' is unreleased and is a nostalgic reminisence. It's not narrated from an adult point of view to a school child. 'Circle of Amour' is a way better song on that kind of theme though.

Well, of course. Though in my (and Prince's) school days, not as many of them were ... uh ... "active." (If you know what I mean.) There was still a HUGE stigma attached to the potential consequences back then.

Good lord. The song was written over 30 years ago and was never released. (Think there was a reason for that?) If someone hadn't stolen it in the first place, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

The song is a work of fiction. You know...like the entire Purple Rain movie. Are you outraged by Darling Nikki, too? How about Come and Girl - complete with slurping? Lady Cab Driver sounds frighteningly #metoo - or worse. Should we resurrect the PMRC?

Or how about we just be grown-ups and don't listen to things we don't like - especially since the artist is dead and can't reply?
