none of them would have becauase most people only know them through their association with prince and they were only hired for alot of jobs after due 2 that . they all talented but do u know how many talneted people sitting at home working regular 9-5 and im one of them . we can all assume but will never know. how they would of faired withoiut prince . one fact none of them besides jimmy and terry ever came close 2 reaching his level of succes

True. I imagine a certain amount would of been successful, at the least made a good living & have the respect of those in the craft, but how many would have names recognizable to the public/a section of the public is another story.

Yes, despises. That's the word I used and would still use because that is how HE has made it seem. That's how I interpreted what he said and I don't care if you like it or not.

I'll leave this link here for anyone who wants to get a look at why Jesse (and Wendy & Lisa and others) were so frustrated after leaving the purple camp. I'm sure the frustration was even worse when having to discuss your music with a complete idiot like the host of this interview, who didn't have a clue about Prince's full name or which one was Wendy and which one was Lisa. that's right and that shits flopped all over the twin cities and everywhere else.

Jesse's always seemed to have a massive chip on his shoulder. He's a great guitarist, but nowhere near as talented as Prince.

he has, he just didn't have the full package, great guitarist, he put together some good songs but everyone saw him as a prince clone and he did little to dispel that, wearing pink instead of purple, mimicking many of prince's facial expressions in video. Prince said it best in the RS interview, some piece of wisdom way beyond his 26 years at the time, "god doesn't put everyone in the same bag". Now, i know, some will disagree, blackguitarist has written some compelling arguements that Jesse brought the color scheme and the hair to prince and then got blamed for doing the copying, i wasn't there, i don't know but it's always looked like he had a severe case of envy.
