In terms of standard album tracks, "Dig U Better Dead" is the first that comes to mind.

All The Midnights In The World is one of those I can't listen from beginning to end...and thank God it's only 2.20 min long!

(There'll Never B) Another Like Me is another contender...utterly uninspired and uninspiring imo.

I just watched the speech Sen Amy Klobuchar made on the Senate floor right after Prince died. donnyenglish posted it in P&R. I never knew he wrote Purple & Gold for the Minnesota Vikings.

Hang on WHAT?!?

What on earth did you THINK he wrote it for?

Anybody who doesn't get Cloreen Bacon Skin is missing a whole lot about Prince, and musicians for that matter. That piece of work makes me laugh out loud every time I play it. Your loss.

I you dont like Cloreen you dont understand it being the skeleton for a few seminal Prince songs and vibe in the vintage and best era of the Prince canon..and if you dont like that you really dont have good taste.

I guess I never really thought of it in that context, it's certainly quite sweet-natured and nostalgic in tone. Maybe so... but I wouldn't say that makes it anywhere near his *worst*...

.

By the way, I always wondered where the official lyrics are available. Because there are a couple places where I just don't hear what is always listed when I look it up...

From the year 2000 or so onward, picking a "worst" is like shooting fish in a barrell. Start with the MUSICOLOGY album (remove "Call My Name") and take your pick... "Reflections," "Life o the Party," "Illusion Coma etc" -- all heinous.

.

But from the golden age, I don't think I saw anyone mention "I Love U In Me" which is just an embarrassing travesty of cringe-worthy lyrics sung in the most insipidly faux-sincere tone imaginable. And the melody is simply montonous. The whole thing sounds like a bad parody of someone's already-bad Prince parody. Words can hardly describe this level of atrocity.

.

Had it come out on, say either of the first two albums (or was that early of a b-side) it would be almost forgivable. But at this point in his career he should've known better than to unleash this monstrosity upon the listening public.
