These songs were originally intended by Prince for the Planet Earth album and were titled 'Man Opera'.

I don't buy Boxhill's assertion they were 'unfinished'. He added production so he could credit himself as 'co-producer' and justify the release.

Raw or not, I'd still like to hear the original versions, without Boxhill's additions and alterations.

What source did you get the Man Opera information from?

Various sources have confirmed this, but this is the most easily available link.

the only thing that sounds added on is the choir on 'deliverance' and a bit of the production
on that song sounds sort of un-princely.

but the other 4 tracks, i can't really tell what isn't prince on those. they're absolutely great,
too. 'no one else' is such a trip. those 4 together are much better than some of the stuff he
eventually did put on the planet earth album.

I dig the music, overdubbed or not it still is really good music. The estate needs to get on the ball and release something we have not heard.

Planet Earth would've been killer with those tracks added. It catapults the album into a completely different dimension.

What I'm confused about is that Boxill claims he cowrote the tracks and Princevault denies him that credit. I wish we'd know what the trial says about this.
