i'd love to see some Prince Pens. maybe with song lyrics scrolling around the pen, or snowglobe style glitter pens, or one of those floating princes that go up and down when one tilts the pen biggrin

While you're at it--why not a nice snowglobe music box--A REALLY nice one like the one I got for "Phantom of the Opera" years ago--like a prince symbol, a candle, and a music scroll like the one I have (minus the Prince symbol) for POTO. It really is nice, not cheesy. smile

good idea! and maybe even prince themed sparkle shoes

The Lovesexy '88 T I've wanted since I was 14!!
I have a version from HMV in the 90s without the '88 on the back, but this is the DREAM!!
biggrin
.
Also, kids T-Shirts!! Too big for my daughter yet, but she'll grow into her "YES" T!! Wish they did that one for adults too.

Romeoblu

That stuff is so expensive.

Now if they were to put together 100 tracksfrom the vault on a disc or even for download
I would pay £99.

Me: God, all this shit is so overpriced and garish.

Me about three seconds later: Yes, I will buy this Love Symbol t-shirt for my daughter.

Awesome to see the Lovesexy 88 shirt reprinted. I couldn't tell you how many times I seriously contemplated dropping the 2 Benjamins I normally saw it go for on eBay. Even though it's still pretty steep for a t-shirt, I'll pony up and pay the 40 for it since that shirt in particular is probably my favorite Prince shirt of all time. And believe me, I've owned quite a few P shirts over the years. Man, why didn't he take the merchandising side of things more seriously while he was still here? He's got some of the coolest retro merch stuff, he could have made a serious mint.

Has anyone purchased a sweatshirt from the store? I am wondering about the size charts. It says unisex sizing but uh......what does that mean? There's a definite difference between a woman's medium size and a men's medium size in the real world lol Anyone have an answer?

So true. This store could have been started whilst he was still with us.

For unisex, safe bet is buying the next size larger for a male.

Saw a nice white 1999 hoodie for $80 at Urban Outfitters, Downtown Manhattan. Fella said certain stores have certain items, couldn't find anything online. They also had a long-sleeved 1999 tee, Prince tags on the clothes.

Those hoodies and t's at UO are cheap and tacky as hell. The prints on them look bootleg.

Yeah the display was cool...but that hoodie was like $80. Eff that. Really yall, that 1999 band cover sleeve pic and the solo window moon and sun pic was lifted off some poor pixeled computer pic.

I'd rather go with a high-res right-clicked downloaded-as-file stolen pic and make the T-shirt myself on Zazzle.
Because that just seems to be the case here. Apart from the impeccable Laura LiPuma typos, everything has no art direction whatsoever, the IIWYG chair shot being the most atrocious example. I care little for the eighties revival, but this is ugly.
Especially considering how much attention Prince paid to his clothing.

They still don't get it, don't they. We'd gladly spend a fortune if the product was the reflect of Prince.
This is wasting tons of water producing this color-blind test shit. Save the planet, our eyes, and Prince's spirit, please.

It would b strange 2 see dedicated Prince's fanbase attached 2 something as apparel merchandise. I dont have nothing against, but now when everybody can get/have it... where is the charm? Prince's absence was his presence, but its hard 2 elaborate that in this times... Back in 2013, i was looking up ebay trying 2 find some Prince T-shirts, and everything was tagged as 'vintage'... there was one particular model from 1st half of the 90s but pricey... so i gave up. I doubt that i will ever buy offical merch... Paisley Park is however in my heart!

.

But everybody can't get it, which is part of the allure. The ugly Urban Outfitters 1999 pieces for example are only in select stores.

.

I like merch and apparel especially now because you get to represent! Show and prove you are a 'true funk soldier' by making your way in the world rocking some funky duds.

.

I have an HnR t-shirt and Purple Rain t that have been cut sleeveless and are super comfy/go with anything really and were a hit at the summer festivals this year. I also have an NPG hoodie "celebrating Prince" and a black t with his face on it that I love to wear and always get a reaction.

.

If diehard fans don't rep, how can we expect a novice/newbie fan to? Also, kids that weren't even alive when Bob Marley was, for example, wear a lot of his merch items and spread his music. Same with 2Pac and even Elvis.

Yep, saw that eek

Makes me want to order them just to add to my collection. Doubt I’d listen to them though even if my car (2001 Audi) has a tape player. I think the first Prince album I owned on cassette was the Parade album.

I have seen new, sealed cassettes for sale in both Sam records and Urban barn, of even new releases like the Love Simon and Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks. Must be a niche collectible.
