What's even way, way easier than streaming is uploading the Prince albums I own to my smart phone or mp3 player. Then I don't even need an internet connection to listen to them.

Lotusflow3r and MPLSound are now listed as separate albums, but the Bria Valente album seems to have disappeared.

Use Spotify. TIDAL is trash. Jay Z use that service to inflate sales for Beyonce, Kanye and himself.

If you're not into physical releases, at least buy the download and back it up and these licensing shenanigans won't be such a big deal.

For those that do own copies but simply prefer the convenience of streaming, surely past experience as a Prince fan and the current upheaval with the rights issues are enough to expect this kind of thing. No?

Time and again we've seen threads like this, but everytime I check, all the albums are still on my shelf and still backed up on my hard drive. Just sayin'.... Again.

That's the way to go. Still rocking my 160GB iPod Classic. Works like a charm, everywhere I go. Don't need streams, don't need internet, and my bootlegs are there too.

They don't remember the huuuuuuuuge uproar when NPGMC went dark and all the people who'd bought Prince's DRM releases from the site - but never ripped them - suddenly couldn't play them, anymore. No matter how many times they're warned - every generation has to learn the same lessons.
