What a nut job! I have to admit, when Prince passed I really thought it highly probable he had one or more children he had secretly been taking care of financially. I'm actually kind of surprised there wasn't an heir to his estate in that way. Either he was shooting blanks or was CRAZY CAREFUL with all the ladies he was intimate with. (I personally think his persona in that manner was far greater than his actual conquests...but I digress and that is for another thread...sorry, not trying to derail)

I think there is a child(ren) out there that P took care of financially but they did not file claim against the Estate.eek

Anywhooo, the Judge already ruled on adopted children filing claims against the Estate. They already have a legal father (adoptive) and their claim cannot stand.

I believe that he does not have any living children for the following reasons.

.

Starting in 1978, any woman who slept with him would have known who he was and, if she and Prince had had a child, she would have made a point to pursue child support from him (if he did not offer it willingly).

.

Prince took care of the people who mattered to him. Per Mayte's book, prince spent half a million dollars on flowers for he and Mayte's wedding. He paid for a plastic surgeon to be involved with her c section delivery of Amiir in order to minimize any scarring or damage to her belly since she was a bellydancer. We know from the release of documents related to he and Mani's divorce that she was living a lavish lifestyle, materially, while she was married to him. Dr. Funkenberry stated on his podcast in late April 2016 or early May 2016 that Prince paid Dr. Funkenberry's medical bills. Tyka and Omarr lived in houses that Prince owned. The Welton's lived in a house that Prince owned.

.

From various interviews from 1996 as well as Mayte's book, Prince very much wanted to be a father. He had a playroom and big toy created at Paisley Park/his home that was next door to PP for his future children. In her book, Mayte wrote about how prince was super involved in all aspects of preparing for their first child's arrival, including reading books, watching videos, and even convincing one of Mayte's physicians to give him (I'm assuming for a nice amount of money) the pregnancy heart monitor. He was there for every one of Amiir's surgeries. From what Mayte wrote in her book, prince did not work/make music during Amiir's short life--rather, he stayed at the hospital for almost the entire time (except for one trip home in order to take a shower) so that he could be there for Mayte and Amiir. He was present for Amiir's birth and for all of Amiir's surgeries. What Mayte wrote about him as a father is probably the most magnificent, flattering, and loving description that anyone could ever write about the man. From what Mayte wrote, during his six days of being Amiir's father, prince was so involved, so committed, so caring, and so unconditionally loving.

.

He loved children. For example, Prince was very excited for the arrival of the Welton's first baby. Hannah Welton posted the following on her instagram.

P

The man was human and had his faults, just as we all do. ISaidLifeIsJustAGame, I do not think you meant any harm or malice by stating "I think there is a child(ren) out there that P took care of financially but they did not file claim against the Estate"; it appears that you were just stating your opinion. Having said that, I feel that to even suggest that Prince would ONLY take care of his child(ren) financially is unfair to him because everything that we know about Prince supports the position that he was a highly engaged father with his son and he would been a highly engaged father to any other children that he would have had.

I’ve read/listened to numerous interviews from associates who say Prince loved children and always allowed them around Paisley Park. Elisa mentioned one year Prince let her daughter go on the roof of Paisley Park to watch fireworks on the 4th of July. I believe it was one of his associates kids who had light up shoes that gave him the idea for the wedge shoes that lit up when he walked

I have a really hard time believing he had a child that he was secretly supporting because that would indicate he either wasn’t involved in the child’s life outside of money OR he was involved but secretly because he didn’t want anyone to know about it. Neither of those scenarios seem likely to me considering we know how much he liked kids.

they actually broadcast them watching the fireworks live at the 3EG livestream
they had going on for a good while with all manner of live performances and in
the studio off the cuff moments.

you could hear the people talking and see a few silhouettes in the footage of
them being on the roof of PP watching the fireworks iirc.

The Judge has scheduled a non-public hearing for June 14 in regard to the Report and Recommendation of the Second Special Administrator, Peter Gleekel. He investigated the

JOBU and UMG fiasco.

Also, the Court appointed Gregg Walker to advise the heirs in negotiating the long form business agreement in regard to a business deal that is pending, and for future entertainment deals. Then the Judge asked SNJ to submit a name of an advisor and they submitted the name of Charles Spicer (did they finally give up on Lawnie?) which the Judge approved. Both have to sign NDA.

What is odd is the Judge said any billing for Walker will be billed to Omarr and Alfred, and any billing for Spicer will be billed to SNJ. I wonder why Tyka is not included?

So they will have to pay out of their pocket, instead of the Estate paying? That could get pretty expensive.

It will at this pace. There was also a filing today from the Heirs (Omar, Tyka and Alfred) asking:

The Heirs request a minimum of $100,000 to be paid by the estate to designated counsel for the heirs to collectively retain financial and business experts to prepare and create asset financial models of detailed projected cash flows for the Estates Recorded Music, Publishing Catalog, Name and Likeness, Merchandizing, Real Estate Development, Film and Television projects, Theatrical
Performances and as well as the overall financial performance of the Estate.

Sounds like they are trying to find a way to pay for the previous order.

I should have clarified...the billing goes to the Judge and he will determine whether it benefited the Estate as a whole, instead of a benefit to an individual heir, and whether it should be paid by the Estate.

so in a way this can be seen as a way to scare them off throwing spanners in the wheels
again, like SNJ and Lawnie have been doing basically up until now, right?

Hmmm

I wonder how many he sold?

Enough to expend this much time/money on pursuing a lawsuit?

It seems there are other bootleggers making much more money off P's music/videos than someone selling Vanity 6 videos.

No reason for them just wanting their names to be on file.

She hired them to represent her in court rather than represent herself.

Yep. But they had a duty to tell her "you dont have a legal claim" but continued to make a claim for her, and then immediately withdrew as counsel.
