Albums, cool...... Prince was very much more interesting than MJ

Fact:

Mj made 3 maybe 4 brilliant albums in his (solo) career

Off The Wall
Thriller
Bad
(partly Dangerous)

Prince made 3x more, at least these 9 masterpieces (in 1 decade so impressing), 9 brilliant albums, acclaimed worldwide by critics & fans

Dirty Mind
Controversy
1999 (double)
Purple Rain
Around The World
Parade
Sign *O* The Times (double)
The Black Album
Lovesexy (don't trash this masterpiece; a big succes in UK/ Europe)

Could be MJ had more single hits, BUT i prefer more albums made by the artist (Prince)

worship

Now f*ck off u Mj fans... this is a P fan site.... hah! lol lol lol cool

In MJ's defense, his 'brilliant' albums were especially brilliant. I'd say that the Black Album and Lovesexy are not even comparable to Off The Wall and Thriller.

MJ also had the Destiny and Triumph albums under his belt. They're credited to 'The Jacksons', but almost entirely had Michael (during the Off The Wall/Thriller era) on lead vocals!! music

_

But even with that said, I agree that Prince is plenty more interesting. The nine albums you mentioned are all great - and that's just the beginning.

Even his unreleased studio recordings were often of top notch quality. Also Prince was a whole different animal when performing live. MJ was good and all, but only Prince could shred a guitar.

What was that?

Aftershock!

Can we just agree, that both artists made brilliant albums

.

Dirty Mind, 1999, PR, Parade, SOTT, Lovesexy, Symbol, TGE, OFTW, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, BODF and even 2/3 of Invincible are all genius albums that need to be in everyone's music collection. The fact remains that both Prince and Michael Jackson could sustain their excellence over a whole album, not just 2 or 3 hits and a lot of filler.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Aww, c'mon, be nice, Tipper only added to the hype... There's no better way to sell a rock & roll album than to have all the old folks go on and on about how it's a threat to society and immoral and the devil's music... This has worked ever since Elvis started shaking his pelvis...

Actually it goes back to the flapper era and the popularity of jazz with that generation. That's also around the time when the Hays Code started censoring Hollywood movies and alcohol being banned by prohibition laws, which made the mafia more powerful. So prohibition backfired on the government.

Actually, those things don't line up time-wise. Prohibition was enacted in 1920 and repealed in 1933.

The Hollywood Production code went into effect in 1933.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Hey little one: Off The wall Thriller Bad Dangerous HIStory(double album) Invincible Blood On The Dancefloor All great albums. Just wanted to let you know that you left some MJ albums off of your list during your tirade. Btw, have you ever thought of Ignoring MJ fans and not responding. AND stop bringing up and trashing Michael during your discussions. These things would stop any MJ fans from having to defend him. Just something that can help you out so that you won't have to be so angry, the next time there is an intelligent and rational opinion, disagreement or discussion. cool

Destiny and Triumph should be here aswell two great albums.
