He was going to a lot of 'discoteques' too and they would dance. A still think just him doing his own thing like most people, was how he danced best

I know that Prince had taken Ballet classes, Sly and the family stones and many other artists that he idolized before he enter center stage.

Oh god, you drew attention to it. I never even noticed how bad those moves were.

Also, he looks oh so CUTE in the last gif.

LOL he was so rad lol

extra early Prince dancing is my favorite, that was him feeling what he was singing, not rehearsed keeping up with the times moves.....bouncing, gyrating, wiggling, glazed Prince - the best!!

Need me some fuzzy love....and yes, I wear clear heels

Just as some other people have mentioned, i see Mick Jagger's influence all over Prince's early performances/dancing. And personally, in the early days, i don't think Prince was that great of a dancer. By the time 1999 came around though(actually more like Controversy), he was damn good. And once Purple Rain hit, Prince was a monster.

I think he ended up becoming one of the top two or three most exciting and baddest front men/performers/dancers that ever lived(IMHO, of course). There definitely can be a case made for Michael or James(or Elvis, or..) being the best ever, but i give it to Prince.

As far as who taught Prince how to dance? I don't have a clue. I would assume that the majority of it came from him just watching people, and practice.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.
