It was in the court docs and I think the Star Triubuen or one of the local papers showed the builders model picture of the house. Once it was completed the estate put it on the market.

I will see if I can find the article.

I remember seeing a model of a house but it wasn’t a house for Prince, it was one of the lots that the Estate was selling. http://www.latimes.com/bu...story.html http://nortonrealty.com/listings/

What does this article say?

trio of properties owned by the late singer-songwriter Prince have come to market in Chanhassen, a suburb of Minneapolis.

The largest of the properties, at 1.82 acres, includes new construction of a Gonyea Homes-designed house of about 3,600 square feet. Described as a rambler with an open floor plan, the house will have a vaulted great room, a game room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

New Construction and we have no idea if he was going to live in or rent it. The live part is an assumption backed by rumors from unnamed sources. The point is another home was to go on that property.

I believe ernest money was even returned. I think I saw this in the first inventory sheet. If no property was going to be built or brough no reason for earnest money.

-------

Earnest money is a deposit made to a seller showing the buyer's good faith in a transaction. Often used in real estate transactions, earnest money allows the buyer additional time when seeking financing.Earnest money is typically held jointly by the seller and buyer in a trust or escrow account.
