A stagehand also came on the Org and said that he was suffering from memory loss.

I'd like to see this.

if she's the only source then i'd say it's safe to say it's bullshit.

The same ones that'll talked to her but won't talk to Chazz, I wonder.

before the third eye stage, he had a funny quirk when doing covers, he's let other people sing most of them. it happened when he did MJ covers, i think when he did a rick james cover after rick died, but i never heard that. he used to rarely do covers before 2010.

I remember that thread now, i don't buy it though. the stagehand said Prince was having memory problems at the time of emancipation, if a 38 year old man is having memory problems, it's probably something besides alzheimer's causing it. we're hearing so much crap, much of it from insiders that we're no closer than we were the day he died. so far we've heard he had alzheimers, leukemia, aids, cancer, the flu, a drug problem, pain problems, depression problems, anxiety issues. what else? i know i'm forgetting some.

I think peeps want Prince to have dementia because they do not like what he was saying the last few years of his life.

BINGO

YeS! it is so obvious because in his last years he stoppedopenly living the image he created as carefully. He said or hinted at discontent about things and people some consider "the holy grail" of the purple kingdom. Well . . . Prince was not the 1980s purple curly top or the 1990s sex addict with half naked dancers around anymore- In 2015 that guy was gone and we got a man who was very different and clearly tired of people speaking for him. He spoke and people did not like what was said because it did not coincide with what they felt was his truth from the mouths of others.

.

Here comes the dementia wagon to allow for the decades old myths and ideas to stand as truth even though Prince clearly said opposite and showed the public a VERY different Prince than they were ready to hear and accept.

The dude had like 800 thousand lyrics, he was hardly gonna remember them all. Besides, we saw him in concert, he wasn't spending his time looking at the teleprompter, it was just there in case he forgot a line of whatever. He was being professional.

Nick Cave brings a big book of lyrics onstage with him as well, doesn't mean he's suffering from dementia.

Don't get me wrong, i'm willing to believe he was fighting something but no one seems to know for sure exactly what it was.

the teleprompter is not any kind of valid arguement, they've been used by just about everyone for a good while now. It's not easy remembering every lyric or not slipping up even for kids. Prince probably had more mistakes when he sang live when he was young than he did in the last few years, either ways it's normal.

so pete you feel that bit was on purpose and he was letting the audience sing that portion??

i don't fault him for missing a lyric. but since we were discussing it, that part of the song always

made me question "did he just forget the lyric?"

i do agree that some people needed him to "still dance for them" be the image, be who he created

so that they would see God. He was done "dancing" so they would see. He was like look if you

don't see it now, i can' help you. and just like he was able to say bye bye to M1 et all, he was

able to say to the folks, " ummm i am not gonna dance for you anymore, your on your own, i have

done my due diligence, ask of me, from my God" IMHO
