Do U think Jerome Benton would have been a better addition than Gregory Brooks?

He may have been better, but I think it was an important event not to use Jerome, to further closed the Revolution era. Saying that, it is odd that Prince, trying to go forward without the Revolution era players, used a Revolution track, It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night.

If Prince didn't remove Jerome for working with his brother and Jimmy Jam, he probably would have been in the set, but he still met Cat in Decemeber 1986.
I think Jeromes 'Time' in the camp would have lent to a better play in the band. But yeah he was connected to the 1981-1986 period that Prince seemed to be removing them all. By 1990 they were all gone except for Levi was was gone by the end of 1991

And Levi left in a rush from the stories I heard here on the Org. Although, Fink was still around during the early 90's if I recall. But Fink was more behind the scenes or am I wrong on that.

No doubt, that Prince and Jerome had good chemistry.

I did not know Prince removed Jerome for the reasons you listed. I am not to inclined on Jerome's history with Prince per se.

Did Cat ever dance during the Revolution time in concert?

Yeah something I think that had to do with not getting money or credits or something. Prince put him to work @ Paisley Park and then he left abruptly right after that. Some people say it was Levi who released a lot of bootlegs back then.

Fink & Miko left around the same time or maybe Fink left later, he was preparing for the Diamonds & Pearls tour I believe but got married and Prince took the band out and just never called him again.

Miko left probably after the Nude tour/Graffiti Bridge movie was done.

No Cat never danced during the Revolution period. I think that would have been a cool addition it the Dream Factory era ever happened.

Interesting about the accusations of Levi with the boots. I know at one time, Levi and Tony M had a suit against Prince for royalties.

I liked the move Prince made with SOTT both musically and the movie. SOTT was a great period in so many ways.

Is there a breakdown somewhere of which parts of the film are from PP and which are from the Europe live shows? I’d love to see a list of times when the actual live footage is used. Princevault has a list of where the audio was sourced for each song but not the video: http://princevault.com/in..._The_Times

Something like this would be cool:
0:00 - 1:17 = narrative scenes
1:18 - 10:47 = Paisley Park lip synced
10:48 - 11:15 = live concert video
11:16 - 11:35 = PP lip synced
11:36 - 11:54 = narrative scenes
etc.

Note that those times are completely made up and are just to illustrate what I’m talking about.

Thanks!

SoulAlive

The story goes that....Prince was pissed when he saw Jerome in Janet Jackson's "Control" video. He angrily fired him.Interestingly, after he got fired from the Prince camp,Jerome signed some kind of solo deal with A&M Records but nothing ever came of it.
