Up Against My Heart - Patty Loveless. Turns out that P didn't write Jealous Bone afterall. Thought for sure that would be one of his.

Nobody bought Lois Lane?

I bought the 12" single of "Qualified". Which was the case for many of the songs Prince wrote/produced for other artists not on Paisley Park like: "Manic Monday", "Baby Go-Go", "Born To B.R.E.E.D.", "The Sex Of It", etc. And if the Prince-penned song was never released as a single and I didn't already like the artist enough to buy the album then my loss.

None.

I bought all his albums but there's always at least 2 good tracks on them lol

I would never buy any other artist albums for a Prince collaboration. That's silly. You are not even supporting Prince, unless you purchase a digital copy of that track on itunes or something.

Good one. Yes, I bought that one too.

And I also forgot to mention Dale Bozzio's 'Riot In English'.

luvgirl

I never bought any Prince album for just one Prince song. There were always at least four to five songs that I loved and the rest always grew on me at some point in time.

supporting Prince wouldn't be the point, being able to listen to it would be the reason to buy it. beofer internet, when the only way you could listen to a fantastic pop song like "Good Love", if your friends weren't into Prince, you had to buy the lp.

Adorecream

Indirectly in 1989 I bought some local album called "Pump up the Hits 89" which had Partyman on Side 2 which I dug, but it was still 2 years before I became a fan.

.

I bought Ginuwine's first album for his Prince cover, but lost that album years ago.

She's so unusual, although the rest grew on me.

Otherwise anything with Prince covers on it, had more to recommend it, like albums like the Time and Martika's kitchen.

The Madonna album some of you refer to, is Like a Prayer and there are so many other good songs on it too, it is her finest album after Immaculate Collection and Erotica. Prince apparently also played Guitar on Act of Contrition and some say he even wrote Like a Prayer and several other songs on it.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

It's the first time I hear that, and I find it extremely unlikely.

This is what is currently known about P's implication: http://princevault.com/in...e_A_Prayer
