I agree with your thoughts-but that's NOT what you said. You made a blanket statement. Maybe you should've said what you meant from the get go. Have a nice day

If you have to be spoon fed then you have a day too..good or bad doesnt matter lol.

You're quite the tool, as I'm not the one making blanket racist statements...carry on.

“Somebody like Prince who is so impressive as a human being in all areas, it is difficult to not completely canonize him,” says Coleman. “He’s amazing, a gift to humanity. But at the same time, he was a guy we worked with every day and it could get really stressful and annoying. One day he’d come in and be all excited and energetic and happy and want to goof around. The next day he’d walk in really somber with a cloud over his head, mumble in the microphone, and be a dick. Every show we played, he videotaped and made us watch on the bus afterward. He was charming and funny but also boring, repetitive and self-absorbed.

“Prince died because of keeping up his façade,” she continues. “Nobody can live that way all the time. We can’t hold people to these extreme standards. Age happens and that doesn’t only mean the deterioration of your body, it also means the enhancement of your mind and your experience. You have so much more to give. Prince’s youth was spectacular, but imagine him as an old man and what he’d be able to impart. We lost that. Everybody who is ‘superhuman’ needs to let people know, ‘Hey, I’m a person, I’m getting older, I get tired.' Say whatever they need to, because not doing so killed my friend.”

“There’s no way someone like Prince could ever say to the world: ‘I have a terrible hip problem,'" says Melvoin. "'I’m in such fucking pain, you have no idea. I’m addicted to this stuff, and I need help.' Someone like him would never do that, ever.”

I will never forget the show at Paisley Park in October 2009 when he was limping noticeably during the second half of the show (which ran three hours). I thought, "Are other people seeing this? He can barely lift his left leg." In that moment, I knew that all the rumors about his hip problems were true.

When Janet was on tour and cancelled I think for the flu or something 15 years ago or something I was like damn..folks got these contracts and still have to go on two hours a night even of they arent feeling to gret and remembers his Act tour where he cancelled an L.A. date because a reported flu. It took me back to that North 40 flick and some other sports films where you see the athletes aftr the games. In pain, getting iced, whirlpool baths for recuperating etc. I knew and felt he had to be going through all that because f all the athletics he went through in the 80's. Hell, we all did. He hd to be going though shit not just with the hips but his feet and knees in general..in my opinion so yall newbie orgers put your brooms/forks away.

I picked strawberries on Saturday, baked a cake in my bare feet yesterday (hardwood floor over concrete), and jogged a couple miles this morning. I just took four Advils because my feet, knees and hips are killing me.

It isn't just the weekend. It's the accumulation of more than a half century of activity. Which, in my case, is nothing compared to Prince's. As Bette Davis said, "Getting old ain't for sissies."

So is Wendy assuming the issue was joint pain? Because I see people on Facebook swearing the "inner circle" thinks it was cancer and he didn't tell anybody about it.

What if it was multiple things. Chronic joint pain seems a given but what if there was something else that showed up in the last couple years? I've never been convinced that his change in appearance and weight loss (along with the throat, stomach pain and flu his chef mentioned) was just due to painkiller use or withdrawal.

I was responding to clover's claim that Tiger Woods ingested copious amounts of pain killers which in turn, affected his speech to the point of slurring (it did not). There was no discussion of Chris Cornell.

--Clover and I were discussing Chris and Tiger. You should take the time to read the conversation.

See Chris on stage at his last show totally out of it on stage with multiple drugs in his system that were not even at levels that would have caused him to O.D. yet he is barely making if through this performance and he was a drug user since he was 14. So stop saying tolerance would make it easier for Prince to hide being high. If he was abusing these meds it was going to be noticed.

No. YOU should take time to read the conversation. And while doing that, notice the fact that I did not bring Chris Cornell into the conversation. I was responding to clover and her claims that Tiger "was slurring his words and acting drunk, all because he over-medicated himself on pain pills." Was it really necessary that I add "between clover and I" to that last sentence? How 'bout this....why don't YOU go review Reply #112 and notice how the conversation about Tiger btwn clover and I transpired.

Do you even digest what you read and by whom it was posted? Because you further attempt to school me on tolerance when I also did not post anything about that subject matter.

And, no thanks, I don't care to view the CC YT video. Reiterating the fact that I did not bring him into the conversation. Why would I watch it?

Your and clover's conversation had absolutely nothing to do with what she and I were discussing; ergo, you inserted yourself into a conversation and got it all wrong. Again, YOU should take the time to read the conversation.

We are discussing drug use the last time I looked. If you do not want to discuss it then get off the thread. You cannot control who replys to you and if I should have not replyed to you there is actually nothing that can be done about.

I am not discussing if it is going to rain tommorow or not we are discussing the fact that Prince did not have the appearence or behaivor of someone on drugs tolerence or no tolerence as Clover and I were discussing Tiger and Chris Connell.

I hate how W&L who may not have even been that close to him are starting this pity party narrative.

At the end Prince was doing what he wanted to do with his life. Still performing. Do they really think he would have made it very long without doing what he loved. Why can't they appreciate that work ethic and drive?

It is so painful that Prin ece is gone but it is also painful that people cannot get beyond the pain of that loss to realize what you said. No appreciation for the man and his choices to live his life as he pleased and that means whatever decisions he made medicallyhe could not be the old guy on a walker or wheel chair - Not Prince . It is tired with all this chatter.

That is the thing that is bizzare. How can anyone tell someone else how to live or even how to die? If he wanted to go out working and having his pride so what. Everybody does not do the pity party routine and if he was happy still working what is the harm. I would bet money he would have been miserable if he could not have continued to perform or get around on his own.

No respect for his strenght or work ethic.

Ha! Classic.....

I doubt anyone is telling Prince who they think he should have lived.
People raised holly hell when he took his time releasing an album. I said go ahead Prince and take your time.

That is crock of crap, fans have serious respect for Prince's strenght and work ethnic.

Nothing wrong with taking some time to put together a good album vs rushing out a lack luster lp.

I think Kim Berry is awesome, but this is wrong. Why would he be seeking treatment for withdrawls if he wasn't addicted? That's not logical. Why would he buy opioids off the black market?

Because there is more to the story than just drug addiction and we still do not k now if he intentionally took those illegal meds. What we do not know is a legitmate Rx was written for pain meds for Prince under Kirk's name to protect his privacy so he had access to a presription and know one needs to go back and forth to the doctor to be told they are on drugs.

Something else was going with his health that made him need those pain pills. She knew him and worked for him up until a few weeks before his death.

I don't understand why every time Kim says something it's a big controversy but when others run up their traps it is not a issue. It's clear some people don't like anyone taking up for Prince.

Because people who knew him are not suppose to take up for him. They are suppose to follow along with the narrative.

Is it a big controversy everytime Kim says something? really?

.

The only things I know of Kim is her posting that cool picture of doing Prince's hair for a Rave era photo shoot, and this thread, posting something about PRince not being a drug addict/meme on his birthday

.

Plus didn't show Prince didn't like people making meme's of his photos?

Really because a few people said he sat around making meme's all the time. I believe it was Shameless Maya that said this. Everybody say he had a great sense of humor about himself. Remember he picked the meme for "This Could Be Us "

No one who knew him in the last years of his life have said he was a humorless drone. Of course the word here is actually knew him not recalling things from 30 years ago.
