We try to guess what the suprise will be on PR Deluxe....the only real surprise will be bonus unreleased material. ...that's it...except that I don't see the point to make some buzz for few unreleased pictures or anecdotes in the booklet!

I am not being rude. I am telling the truth and quite frankly I think he showed his true colors when he jumped into the conversation. In addition, he never answered my questions about Allen and why he got this job in the first place.

Laura, you're a little over the top, and trust me, I'm a specialist.

Read your (multiple) posts again and then tell me they weren't rude. Regardless of what you believe, or what is actually truth, there's a way to inquire politely and respectfully. But again, reading through posts on this site people seem to have forgotten about that. And it's shameful and sad...

Is there anything else you could share us about the upcoming PR Deluxe release... Do you know of any promotion because 3 weeks left before the release we have seen literally no promotion what so ever from the estate or WB.

I've zeen zome promotionz on Yahoo.com's home page for about a month, now. They'll put the picture of Prince up with the flower in his hands or they'll put the Purple Rain album cover up saying, "Purple Rain Deluxe".

No TV commercials or anything like that yet, though.

Yes, the Miles Davis one is considered to be an exemplar of how you do these things. I think one can be disappointed that they didn't use some of the photoghers from back then without demeaning this guy before we have seen the results.

I am sorry but a orger belived you were around in 84 and I pointed out you were not around and I woud be curious to know what exactly you worked on with Prince? What albums and when and what could you have that has anything to do with PR?

These question are not unusual as you were nine in 1984. I would love to see Allen Beaulieu 3,000 photos and I wonder why he was not consulted. We need old heads for these projects and since many are alive and well what is the reason they are not being utlizled?

You want assumptions I hope WB is not making an assumption that fans are going to buy whatever they throw out and I hope they learned their lesson with "Prince4Ever"

Ill answer more when the project is out. I was 11 then. But it's normal to work on legacy projects that you may not have been involved with originally. After all, I Workes on a bunch of Miles Davis releases including the Bitches Brew 40th Anniversay Box set (which I gave to Prince at his house incidentally). Anyway, it's impossible to please a lot of Prince fans and I'm happy with what WB did on this. And in case you didn't know I worked on marketing of the "Live at the Aladdin Las Vegas," co-produced and Art Directed/Designed "Ultimate Prince" and some other projects that didn't see the light of day (including an unreleased Ballads collection called When 2R In Love). And as I said, you will get other answers when you have the beautiful release in your hands. And eventually another project I'm currently working on. Have a good day. PS: I had actually discussed Deluxe Editions of Prince's albums with him when he saw the Lenny Kravitz Deluxes I produced and designed as well as the James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder etc deluxes I designed.

Thank U 4 sharing this. I'm exciting 4 the PR deluxe release and I always assumed/hoped there would be unseen photographs/artwork attached. That is the perfect way to go.

I answered as much as I could, clearly I thought. I'm being respectful of WB and the project and already gave up too much. And you didn't get the fact that I alluded to you being wrong about your judgements. I sat with Prince many times and discussed these types of releases. One of the last 6 CDs he bought before he died, was one I did (Stevie Wonder reissue of "Talking Book"). And I didn't design this one nor did I say I was Allen Beaulieu who by the way DID NOT SHOOT any of the Purple Rain stuff, so that made no sense. I licensed images from him for "Ultimate Prince." Great guy. I am working with the estate of Larry Williams who shot the PR stuff and directed the When Doves Cry video. And that's some of what I helped contribute. Well, this guy says have a good night as he exits the Org, stage right.

Thank you. It was meant as a "I'm outta here for now" kind of thing. And the art posted. Now shows the track by track liner notes by The Revolution which is part of why I was saying she was wrong about people from the era NOT being involved.
