Personally I'd prefer to see the All My Dreams tracks on their own album in the configuration that Foefur put out. It would be cool to see abandoned album projects ressurected and released as originally intended. All My Dreams and The Dawn (unreleased 1994 album with material that ended up on Come, Gold Experience and Chaos & Disorder) are my two favourite Prince boots of all time.

Laydown

Unreleaased songs such as OFFS would be ok if released commercially but it kinda loses its aura.Charade is one of those great albums made by fans and I doubt Warner would be interested in Parade or a deluxe edition. Warner seem to think the only album worthy of reissue is PR. Dont expect much from Warner. For twenty years Prince was out of their grasp and a couple of years before he died he was back with them. I have no confidence in Warner.

well.. thinking back to the NPG Ahdio shows, there are a lot of soundboard recordings and a lot of outtakes. Would be great if they re-release bootlegs, but with great(er) sound quality!

I agree the vocals take in the original 1986 are better (and more personal) than the late TV-OF4S officially released version, but to be honest I never understood why the general hate (or dislike) vs. the released one.

To me it sounds wonderful the same, musically there are no big differences and the vocals and lyrics are also great, even if less personal.

I hate the strings and horns of the album "The Vault" version. The different lyrics are a disconnect for me for the song, too. It's like I'm listening to a lesser version. The lyrics in the original are so powerful and real. P took the music and turned it into some story about my baby don't love me no more or whatever the fuck. Don't give me some bullshit story. Give me the real. The real is the bare bones original to me.

Why he changed the lyrics, I'll never know. All my bootlegs were stolen. So, hopefully we can get the original version in the future, officially.

With all the rumors about his death, I'd much rather hear him sing "Life ain't no fun without fantasy. Some things are better left unsaid. SOME PEOPLE ARE BETTER LEFT UNTRUSTED. Maybe, maybe...maybe it'll all make sense, when I'm dead. When I'm dead...Old Friends 4 Sale. Get 'em while the getting is hot. Watch out. They'll kiss you. Til...they get what you got. And they'll show you the friends that they're not. Old Friends...4 Sale."
