I can't get the link to work, but if you google prince symbol house... there's a pic from the Emancipation Pic and Lyric book that shows a good pic of the model.
It's in the book as a backdrop for the New World lyrics.

Which property had a windmill on it? There is a windmill viewing patio on the floor plan. I guess that's where it would have been built, so as to see the windmill from the top of the circle part of the symbol.

Yes, so it is!! He mentioned to me in March 1995 when I had the grace of briefly meeting him & he told me he wanted to build a house in the shape of the symbol. He said the entrance to the house would have water/lake so to speakthat would have stepping stones appearing out of the water as you walked up to the door!! cool I was studying interior design at college at the time & joked I could decorate it for him lol Yes a stunning imagination for sure. So glad to have seen these plans!

I didn't either...until I realized there were trusts, it's been disclosed by his representation in an interview and discussed in Org threads months ago.

Gotta love trusts. Private, opague, and no prying eyes to know who got what or how much.

The only portion of P's assets that the public can see and know are the ones he apparently chose to leave transparent. Very sophisticated wealth and legacy protection tool.

So, actually what's seen publicly is simply smoke and mirrors disguising the tip of an iceberg.

Anyway, I need to make coffee now. Carry on.

wink cool

Interesting because we all discussed that there could be trust and with museum instructions and deals with WB that go into eternity that he had plans that go around probate.

Who disclosed their were trusts?

I saw a video posted here months ago with a light skinned chubby gal named Phaedra who said she created a business entity funded by P and in the accompanying article it was referred to as being similar to what Bowie created with the Bowie trust.

C'mon, y'all remember. Lotsa folks I recognize posted in that thread.

It discussed wills being able to be contested and that if the entire family was on the board of the trust, when one board member 4/21'd, everything would simply go on as normal and the person's shares would just redistribute to the other members, instead of having to have a will.

Hmmmm, appears as though you can purchase these plans/drawings on ebay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/31...noapp=true - https://picclick.ca/Secre...10431.html

Here's some of what the seller has to say about them: "Hi PRINCE fans. This is a set of Prince house blueprint/floor-plans the artist then known by his symbol prince had commissioned, designed in the shape of that symbol. The house was never built. I acquired these fantastic renderings about 20 years ago and have enjoyed sharing w friends..."

Wonder how this person acquired them? Seems as though everyone has their hand in the Purple pot!

Wasn't PP built for like $10million cash in the early 80s?

So, at today's prices this house would easily top $20million in construction alone. Then it needs decorating and furnishings.

I'm thinking all together this project could be as much as $100million from start to finish, and that's without any unexpected delays or cost overuns.

Dammit, I need to pop open the empty water jug with the pennies in it.

I think it would have been so cool just to see this built!

I wish someone who is good with virtual architectural design programming would get the schematics for this and give us a vision of what it would have looked like. That would be really great...

You're right. They could do that. And a touring exhibit would be lovely.

But what if that's not what P left explicit instructions on how he wanted things done?

I don't know and I don't have any secret inside information of any kind, but still...If what the estate is currently doing and planning to do in the future is because they are following explicit instructions from P about how he wanted them to proceed with the preservation and furtherance of his legacy...If that is the case...Knowing that, if that is the case, shouldn't they continue to follow his wishes regardless?

I'm just asking for claryficattion of your opinion out of curiosity. I'm not judging the value of your opinion.

I don't think Prince left his estate and legacy as well-arranged, obviously, as David Bowie. Bowie actually saw the touring exhibit with his famiy before he passed away from cancer. I didn't see it in person, but I did on video and it is wonderful. I just think that the estate would do justice to Prince's legacy by following that example. That is only my opinion, of course.

David Bowie was also married to Iman, the supermodel and businesswoman, for 24 years and they have a teenage daughter. He also has a son from his previous marriage. Finally, Bowie was suffering from cancer, so his death was not sudden. These are all reasons why he may have had his affairs better in order.

.

Also, what do you mean when you say that Bowie adn his family saw the touring exhibit? To what exhibit are you referring?

-- Many people including Brown Mark, Apples, and Kim Berry are saying the exhibits were up already up in Paisley Park the museum was what he wanted. I cannot figure out why no one wants to every listen or believe what these people have to say. In addtion, Graceland people have said they have plans to do something with the studios. [Edited 5/22/17 5:18am]

Laura, I agree that Prince wanted PP to be a museum. I believe that Tyka has also shared that Prince wanted PP to be a museum, a place for the fans.

Is the Galpin Rd property the same property where he resided when he was married to both Mayte and Manuela?

A touring exhibit would be a great idea. And while they're at it resurrect the NPG music club. I would absolutely pay a monthly or annual fee for exclusive content from the vault, live concert footage, exclusive photos etc.

This is what the Galpin property looked like as of 2005 & 2016:

VTmN.jpg

There's 176 acres he owns off Galpin and another 30 acres across the street from Paisley Park. I wonder what the Estate is going to do/can do with that property? i think it would be cool to expand Paisley Park to the property across the street. Either additional space for exhibits or other events or perhaps a small hotel with gift shop. I want Paisley Park to remain successful. I drove by it Sunday Morning and was so happy to see the parking lot full of cars. So much better than having it sit empty.

That's interesting. You are so lucky to be living there to see what is going on!

Yes, but remember, Tyka said she knew for 2-years. eek

I do think that what Bowie's family is doing is wonderful. I love Iman; she is a remarkable and beautiful woman and Bowie was so blessed to have her/to have each other. Their children are beautiful and seem really down-to-earth. They both did a wonderful job raising them!
