Everyone I just listened to podcastjuice.net Michael Dean hit it dead on the nail. We are just fans, did we know him personally, did he confide in us. How do we know what he would've wanted. Like I said before none of us have the connection that she had to him. So you can go and hate all day if you want, whenever you get through with it, we are or were never part of his "family". We're gonna hear things about Prince whether you wanted to or not. Also what she's saying is not negative it's stuff we already know about, but some of us don't want it brought up, it is sad, but true. I sympathize with Prince and Mayte. They both went through a horrendous time. My only issue with any of this is people villifying Mayte for speaking her truth, villifying her for putting out a book that they have yet to read or even know the whole context of what they are reading. They only have snippets and are making judgments based on those snippets. I'll reserve my judgment of the book and what is in the book until I read the entire book, if I do so. Will it? because most of the people i know only know him for PUrple Rain? CHuck Berry died today. Because any scandals in his life are probably from a billion years ago, people are going to be listeing to his music, not talking about how he died or if he behaved in odd ways in a moment of grief.

People listened to P's music. Don't get me wrong. But half of his catalogue is still not available to everyone. His live performances aren't available.

Now people think he is some kind of predatory pedophile who didn't give a shit about his son's death. That destroys legacies.

I don't mind the book so much, but I hate the People magazine cover because the context of those quotes is only available to those who buy the book and only Prince fans are going to buy the book.

It does mean something when the same locos who are outrage are the same ones who would have been escorted out if they even stepped at PP when P was alive while Mayte was actually lived there and chilling. Some of those same people should seek some mental help instead of worrying about someone who they don't know. Already Dave said one of the crazies have gotten a warning from the police for threatened Mayte, so I hope people need to check themselves and stay on the right side of the law. I hate to see an orger or some Prince fan getting legal trouble while Mayte is continue to do her other gigs and not losing any sleep of that fan rots in jail for doing silly shit but that is the price that person has to pay for getting all upset over someone they dont know.

Tell that to people who threatened Mayte and I read somewhere else too about this about this issue. Because I am close to mental health issues as it runs in my family and therefore I know what I am talking about. So if you are going to report you have evidence to back up since you don't know me.
