Um, have you read all the philanthropic things he's done in secret? Have you listened to the interviews of the wonderful things he's done for musicians and their families and to you he's still an asshole?? My God. disbelief Your post reminds me of the Org before he passed.

Yes he was capable of good things as well but his assholery is legendary and the tales are legion. Sorry if you don't like hearing the truth. When it comes to those that knew him the best or were close to him he seemed to have been kind of a prick half the time and inspiring the other half. In other words like most humans lol

Told from who? One-sided stories from people who worked with him over 20 years ago when he was younger? Not a fair way to judge somebody. I believe Prince made bad choices, but he was not evil IMO.

Yes, I still miss him terribly.

I remember seeing his picture for the first time (I was around 11years old) and now, over 30 years later.. he's gone?

There's not one significant moment in my life that does NOT have a Prince song attached to it.

But, think about this. Here, on earth, he was limited. Limited by time, the abilities of those around him, limited by physical ability and the restrictions of the music business.

But, in heaven, there are no limits! He can create music for eternity, no limits on time.

There are no limits on physical ability, he can make music non-stop, never tiring.

There are no limits on instruments, vocal ability, nothing.

There are no restrictions.. he can do what he's always loved the most.. make music non-stop.

That gives me some comfort..cuz i know he's in absolute bliss.

I still miss him, I will always miss him.. but I have to believe that he's in a much better place. And, I still have the albums, the cassettes, the singles, the VHS tapes, the DVDs, the CDs, the concert tshirts, posters, buttons, magazine covers dating back to the 70's.. and I have the memories of all those concerts, meet and greets, soundchecks, after-parties, celebrations at Paisely Park. We all do.

He blessed us with so many musical trips.. and even though it's soooo hard.. we will never forget him

Many famous people find out early that it is not easy to be nice to people. For the fan, a question, an autograph, or a photo takes just a few seconds...but if you are constantly hounded... it adds up! Being an ass is sometimes the only way to walk across a room.

I think of him several times a day, read books by him, about him, and listen to his music every day. I even say good night to him.

Exactly the same for me. My life has been in shambles too. I try so hard to move on but no matter how hard I try, I can't yet. I still tear up most days. I want to be at peace with it. I wonder how much longer I will grieve. The sun must be on the horizon soon right?

Me too. My mother died last August and her sister died this February . Unlike Prince they were both over 80. But with all of it I feel like I've gone un to free fall n become very erratic.

enormously. everyday. always. sometimes i get this very surreal feeling when i realize he is no longer with us here on earth and it takes my breath away. the tears are not as much. i cried for months though. for me it was no different than losing a very good friend or a family memer. he gave me 35 years of joy. this will take time.

I am not a huge Prince fan, not in comparison to the bulk of people on this site. However every time he is on a cover of a magazine, every time a song of his plays in the background unexpectedly, I get a lump in my throat.

I'm still scratching my head over still feeling his loss when I have never felt this way about a music idol..and never will again. I think, in my case, it coincided with the loss of family and friend members and made me feel as if I was losing an essential part of my past... That's the only logical way I can explain it. It isn't as if I thought Prince was some deity who I worshipped and bowed down to. He was part and parcel of my youth and then I fell out of touch with Princeland after The Gold album in the 90s until around 2009 when I heard "Better With Time." On the local radio station. And then I thought...Wow, is that Prince? Is he still making music? nuts Yeah, that's out of touch I was. But, he sucked me back in and I finally got to see him in many concerts which I took my son to. Great memories. But, I certainly didn't expect him to pass away just a few months after my best friend did. sad

Absolutely...

And I still get teary-eyed when I listen to some of my all-time favorites realizing that there won't be any new all-time favorites by him and no more concerts to attend...

I suspect he frequently ran out of the brain stability mineral 'lithium' the same way a lot of us do. It's not possible to have that extraordinary work ethic and not exhaust your reserves. But he pushed himself more than probably anyone.

Yes 1contessa. You could ask me this every day and I would say the same thing, that the world is not the same without Prince in his physical form. I literally feel the difference.....it's like a whole phase of life is past us now and I feel the absence of his energy.
I tell him a the time, "Do you see how much we miss you?"

yes I miss him. I have thought about him every day since he passed, and listened to his music on probably 95% of the days since he passed.
