April 21st is a day to forget. June 7 is a day to remember and celebrate.

.

Couldn't disagree more.

.

Last year on 4/21, a friend of mine and I went thru the day sending texts about this during work. Then, I went home and watched coverage, etc. At about 9:00 I got another text asking me "What's wrong with us? You know where you should be."

.

Without hesitation I put on my shoes grabbed a couple of my ipods and went over to that friend's house. We fired up the Prince music, poured a couple of drinks and then went thru it all together. At about 4 in the morning, and many drinks later, we were 'urged' to pack it in.

.

I was a regular visitor to this site long before last year, but probably didn't even have a user name. I'd been into his music since 1979, and devoted since 82-83. But that faded over time as life got in the way the way it can sometimes.

.

Since 4/21, I've been here every day. Back on the music in some form every day. rediscovered songs I'd forgotten about, discovered songs that I'd never gotten around to, and found songs that I'd heard about but could never find before.

.

While 4/21/16 was not a good day, good came of it. We're planning to be at the same place, doing the same thing this year, focused on the celebrating the good.

Groovin', mostly groovin'.
I'm forever grateful for all the glorious music he left us. RIP Prince 🙏🏻

Grooving, like I've been doing these past ten months. My life didn't stop because Prince died; it saddens me that he's gone, but really, when it comes down to it, I'd be doing his memory a disservice if I forgot the most important lesson I learned from him: Do what you love and do it well, and don't let the bastards get in your way while doing it.

I imagine myself inside your bedroom; oh, I imagine myself in your sky.

That's a great idea... Does anyone know if any fans from New York are getting together?

Honestly, I don't know what I will be doing. I am going to take the day off from work. I will try to focus on the positives and cherish the memories of his greatness.

Honestly don't know what I'll be doing. Any suggestions?

I don't argue with people about my opinions. Scram. I said what I said.
