He said he brought messages from M2 to Prince because Prince refused to speak to her. He may have some inside scope but he did say that he did not know why Prince stopped speaking to her.

The judge already said there nothing special in the files. I suspect it is all about money and maybe accusations of cheating. Funkenberry did say that Tamar had to give a depositon in the divorce case.

Sure but I don't think the Star Tribune cares about cheating. And the podcast I listen to Funkenberry didn't mention anything about that. All he said is there are no drug references in these records and the Star Tribune now knows it.

The one I listed to he said Tamar had to give a depostion however that does not mean any cheating was going on by Prince. People make accusations in divorces cases to get money or to try to get out of giving money. If Prince just left and stopped speaking to M2 like Funkenberry is saying I think M2 was the one stepping out.

2) Money issues

3) Women cheating/ witholding sex

I do find it very odd that P kicked M2 out of the house, refused to speak to her and yet didn't want a divorce. This to me strongly implies Mani had definitely done something very wrong to hurt him but he still loved her.

Could be what he thought was s temporary separation turned into a divorce.

On the most recent Funkenbsrry podcast he says the only reason the Star Tribune wanted these records unsealed is to find out if drugs were mentioned at all and they found out there was no mention of drugs at all but the judge decided to unseal anyway. I'm not sure where Funkenberry got his info but the way he reported it made it sound like FACT not rumor or just a guess on his part.

Well I've believed that was STribs reason since it's such a mystery on what happened between those 2.

Given what I see her doing now and seeing what Prince was very much into, I think they were just 2 people on 2 separate paths and it came to a head, she wanted to go one way and he wanted to go another and she didn't want to give in. We know he wasn't going to give in, so there is was, 2 very stubborn people playing tug o war. shrug

ugh, you know some of those horrible media outlets will create a minor headline
out of whatever is in those papers. even if it's something that's in every other
damn divorce record, they will print that shit and act like it's something hugely
exciting and weird or crazy. then, in the last 2 lines of the text they will make it
clear that this is all just standard fare for divorce records.

P's love life was rarely talked about while he was alive, so of course in his death, some people are just curious as to what is in these records. I forgot all about his second marriage until he died and it was much more on the down low compared to the first one. From what I read, he didn't want a divorce, but yet, didn't stand in Mani's way when she filed for it. Once the fantasies wear off of bring what you thought was "in love" with a superstar, the realities kick in and unfortunately, things just aren't meant to be. Very nice of her that she opened up the school in his honor and I wish her well.

Nah, I think Manuela just had some self-esteem. And Prince looks absolutely fine here. There are many times the camera caught him in a moment when he wasn't posing. Many photos that are floating around unused like that.
They were beautiful together while what they had lasted, and Call My Name is still my favorite love song to a woman he ever wrote. When I hear it now it causes me to reflect all the more on the life of this very special man.

Yes I believe Prince was into Tamar and fancied her, and yes there was some issue in the camp.... I do believe but Main was already in2 Eric as well so they both had their isses i think of trying to deal with their issues in the marriage.... but I do believe she used what she knew to hit P hard in the pockets... also she claimed to not like his friends but trired to befriend them all....... and made sure before she did leave she had her biz in the works and made sure all her charity ... type biz was on the up and up and made sure she got the best lawer ... she was very smart in her moves ... i'm not trying to be mean about mani maybe she couldbe a very cool person but my run times where i was around and she was around she was plain rude.......... and well i leave it at that at this time .....from the begaining it was about Pockets

Maybe the reason she..... is a bit afraid for the records to come out.... is because maybe she knows that divoice hurt P funds badly and also was a cause of P having to do more concerts and work... also and maybe it's also casue she may have been tryin to get more............ also there is knowledge that yes her and Eric had been around each other before for the marriage...... also from what i do know P didn't really want a divoice ... not saying there wasn't issues on his side and her side of why the divoice .... happened .... so she may feel as though if people know that the sum she got .... in the divoice ... mad him have to sweat more... then people may in return be upset with her.... cause it meant he had to do more concerts.... and work more when he wanted to still work but slow down.... and also could have been already strugglings to make payment.......

--Yes, she could actually feel a little guilty and be worried about how she is going to look if she was running around with Eric before they were divorced.

Why wouldn't he be in peace and why would we BE in peace? There should be a lot going on and justice should be sought . I think it would be nice if the newspaper acknowledged fans still mourn as Prince's death case remains unsolved confused

Justice for what? The man accidentally overdosed on pain killers. That happens to tens of thousands of people in the United States every year. I'm not sure what exactly there is to solve other than finding and cracking down on the losers who sell and profit off of black market drugs.

That's probably as realistic as any justice can go.

If there were people Prince felt emotional pain about as well, that will come out at some point too. Because for as tough and as smart as he could be, he also had a gentle heart and loved people easily. I believe he was sometimes taken advantage of.
I think i read an article recently where he had said at some point when asked about this marriage, [Look at how it began. Do you really think it could've ended any other way?] (I put that in brackets because it is NOT a direct quote, it is a paraphrasing of how I remember him saying it.

Still, it is absolutely true that prescription medications are killing people left and right. Not all, but some psychiatrists especially, should be jailed. They know there's a way for people to get well without drugs to band-aid feelings. But they are terrified of their positions being threatened.

And those cases are closed quickly. This one is still open. I honestly do not know what more proof you need that the police are actually looking at a specific person or persons and that there may be more to this case then someone simply overdose. Celebrity or not police don't like to keep cases open this long. I also could give you some stats on how many black men and women who get killed and their cases are never solved. I do not think the case is being keep open because Prince was a celebrity or a special person.

I believe he may have been taken advantage of as well. He was taking care of a lot of people and it appears he would give almost anyone a job. I do not think he was careful about who had around him and if he was ill he was going to be dependent on these people.

yeahthat Strib (and a few others) have written scores of articles on his death (and life) since his passing (see then all here). If there's something real and factual development to report, I'm sure various media outlets will. Pursuing conspiracy theories and things that random anonymous message-board posters insist "don't add up" is not the job of the media (or police for that matter).

Edited to add: Sorry I didn't mean to veer this thread off from its topic (the divorce records), esp. since there are 2 other active threads about Prince's cause of death

/-I am talking about an article about where the investigation is at now. Seems the Truibune has time to nose in an divorce file but no time to use their sources to tell us anything about where the case is today. How about an interview with the lead detective or find if the police have reached out to the public for help. If mislabled pills are on the street in Minneapolis you would think they would want the public to know and to help. Do you work for the Star? And pray tell who are these people they're looking at? Kirk Johnson was involved in opening PP as a museum and is part of the NPG group that recently set up a social media presence and looks like they're going to be doing something this year. The couple that were Prince's personal chefs are now providing the food for the PP tours. I'm not sure what Prince's assistant Meron Bekure is doing right now but I know she's still friends with 3EG members. Josh and Hannah Welton were supposedly with Prince at the Dakota Jazz club a couple days before he died. As far as we know they're not under suspicion for anything. So is there some mystery person nobody knows about that is under investigation? If so I'm a little surprised none of that would have leaked by now.

I'm with you 100%. I don't need to reads about more anonymous sources claiming this or that. Like I've said before unless/until someone is charged with murder I don't need to know more. None of it is going to bring him back.
