The 8 foot wall hasn't happened and very well may not ever happen. And the boutique hotel is not a sure thing either. People need to take a deep breath and relax a bit.

Sure those changes haven't happened yet, but they announced the plans.

Dave Hampton should be running the show at paisley park.

His level of knowledge, expertise and respect was comforting.

He also had zero ego. This guy needs to be involved somehow.

I agree wholeheartedly. If he can get along with everyone which apparently is difficult to do in that atmosphere, it'd be great.

He certainly cares about prince.

I was surprised to hear things are such a mess.

He says Prince wouldn't want anything in the fault to be released but Prince said in arsenio hall that someday someone will release it.

I realize today that Prince had always planned for his departure. Legends are wise to do that. We aren't here forever.

I agree wholeheartedly. Respecting everyone else involved though and being a team player would be a plus in that happening.

It would probably work best if everyone wasn't in such a rush.

The wall yes. The hotel is just an idea not formal plans. I'll bet you that never happens and if it does it's because opening PP was way more successful than anyone here ever imagined.

Nothing special about the estate and family - the challenge of teamwork is always teamwork itself. We each start our day with our own values, and maybe some long and short term baggage. Bad chemistry (incompatible values) usually makes defining priorities and then working together more work than reward. People get tired and cranky, and decide to start saving themselves time by shutting down. Throw in a truly toxic fool and voila - you have a complete human zoo.

Same everyplace - even if you find yourself part of Prince's magical home after he teleported off the planet.

Awful audio quality, he needs some better equipment. Sound levels constantly up and down, lots of booms and distortion when too loud (don't know the technical terms).

.

Good interview but difficult to listen to and he should leave the negative attitude about people (Sheila etc) when a guest is there, it creates a bad vibe.

I listened to this but it bugged me whenever Dr. Funkenberry mentioned Graceland it was dripping with condescension. He made a comment about maybe after 4 years PP will be done right. And then referred to the e-mails they found as "so-called e-mails" (I guess implying they don't really exist and somebody just made that up)? The reason the estate brought in Graceland holdings is because they have experience doing this type of thing, not because they want to turn PP into Graceland. They haven't even opened the doors yet, not one tour has happened yet and this guy has already made up his mind that they didn't do it right. Sorry I don't have a lot of time for wet blankets who are cynical and negative about everything.

Graceland is cool! I felt it was infused with this real feeling of nostalgia and sadness about Elvis. It makes you feel that despite being the most famous and popular rock star EVER, all he wanted was to live in a (modest by today's standards) house with friends and family and his parents too.

I've been there once: [img:$uid]http://img.phot.../img:$uid]

Oh man, "Sweet Thing" just came on the digital radio station. Sad. This was the aftershow cover song for a while in the late 90's.

My Grandmother was such a huge Elvis fan and she passed her love for Elvis down to my mother and to me and my sister. She took me my mom and my sister to see Graceland not once but twice. It was so amazing and I loved it!! She even spent a ridiculous amont of money at the gift shop on a Sharpie because I refused to leave until we all signed and dated the wall!!! I look forward to taking my girls to PP one day as well as to Graceland!! Anybody who has been to Graceland should know that PP is going to be just as amazing!!!
