Yes, it can be high-minded and it can be profane and it can be funny. It can be all of those things and it was quite fairly marked as explicit.

the choice to enter and be offendoned is ones own choice. Censoring it was a direct result of someone thinking their judgement was correct - meanwhile the flat earth thread in GD lives on!

I mean at least Prince can be scientifically proven as sexy. Meanwhile THE EARTH IS NOT FLAT. Thats proven - and that thread is offensive in its disregard for reality.

But dear God no - dont talk about Princes penis. Or what he might do with it. But please do feel free to promote your flat earth.

eek lol

After Prince passed TPTB proudly declared that he read this site all the time. I cringed inside because some of the same trolls that derailed the thread that got deleted used to come here regularly to post hateful comments and namecalling directed at Prince almost daily and absolutely nothing was ever done about it.

Before April members were leaving this cesspool in droves because of the negativity and outright hatred directed at him. Now everybody wants to clutch their pearls over some gifs of actual performances that he did and words that he actually said? Yeah, right.

And yes, it seems like I touched a nerve there. So what can I do? As I said before, I'll say what I want to say and you can say whatever you want to say about that. Following what Terriq has said upthread about this, I actually really do want to know if you seriously think you can make this distinction between sex and music when it comes to Prince. We mostly weren't discussing his sex life - we don't know shit about it - we were mostly just expressing our appreciation of his unsurpassed sexiness...and yes we can giggle about gifs of his dick (why the hell not)...but its not really the issue, because as she says, the sex is in the music. Prince knew this...he knew his guitar sounded and felt like a woman coming...and that's what he wanted it to sound like, he did it, deliberately. Do you not hear it? Do you not understand what we are responding to? It's all the same thing, the groove, the grinding, the gasping and panting and groaning and shreiking, the come faces, the fucking guitar stands, the hip chain, the leaving his packet on full display his entire career, the never ending guitar climaxes, the ecstatic orgasmic funk...it's all completely soaked in sex, every note, every groove, every shred, every move he ever made...all of it. We don't need to see the images...the music does exactly the same thing to us...the gifs are just a bonus and a way for us to share with each other...but the idea that what we're doing is distracting from the music by focusing on sex is absurd...maybe this is just how we communicate with each other about our experience of the music...and our experience of the music is that it designed to get us as hot as all hell and it delivers. And maybe you don't get that, maybe it is different for you...when I listen to men talk about P's music, I do hear something very different...and that's fine, I don't go around sending Peach and Black irate letters saying that they're missing the sex of it and so they should stop...they're talking about what speaks to them, and we're talking about what speaks to us...and what we're trying to say is that Prince was speaking to us, and he knew exactly what he was doing, and he knew exactly what effect it had on us, and he loved it, and so did we...and you don't get to police that, or tell us that we're doing it wrong, and you don't get to interject yourself between us and Prince when we know full well that we are understanding him perfectly, and the fact that you think you do get to do that is because you're a man and we're women, and so you're used to thinking that what you experience about something is more valid or true than what we experience, and us, and Prince, are like, fuck that noise.

I love all these women on this and the previous thread! Wonderful, strong, unashamed and sensual/sexual that only LIFE (and Prince) could ever give us. We are true beauties, ladies, all of us and nobody can ever take that away. Prince would be in our corner on this one...he'd be the one fanning us down - only to work us up again!

Prince was straight. Loved fat or curvy ladies, had a stocking and bath fetishes, preferred curly to straight hair and tanned to pale skin. He was BDSM positive - I'd say he was a switch, so he liked to dominate someone else as well as being dominated. I think he was into ropes and scarves (1000 Xs and 0s, anyone?), pet play (pussy) and some SM, too.

damn, I am learning new vocabulary today! Thanks for the education! I'll have to look it all up, but I do appreciate that you're giving me something extra to do over this long weekend. Did Prince love fat/curvy women? I always thought he was more into the thin/thin chicks. Pet play, is that where people dress up like animals....aka furries?

What do you think did happen then?

.

[Edited 9/4/16 14:01pm]

What happened was that we were sold out. All they had to do was snip the sexist personal attacks that bonatoc made toward several female members such as this one. Other guys made comments but he was the only one distrupting the thread. There was no reason to delete it.

[img:$uid]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y240/delivertheword/org%20screen%20shots/asshole_zpslkblrsna.png[/img:$uid]

Instead of just snipping the comment where he made referencec to her "smelly tambourine," and other hateful things that he said, they used it as an excuse to delete the thread.

...and that comment "Smelly 'ol tambourine" was directed at me!! Ha, I didn't take it personally, in fact, I thought it was juvenile as I would've believed he could've come up with something more original or at least anatomically correct.

When it comes to shaming people, unless you're abusing animals, elderly, special needs, ex-cons trying to fly straight and the likes, then you're entitled to your own opinion BUT when you're coming into a thread that is marked EXPLICIT and not only one time, but many times over, pick arguments over how wrong, immoral or immature we are, well then, the gloves are coming off.

Besides, we have plenty of ammo to back us up.....don't think those that diss us would like to have to admit to their own poisonous words directed at the man, himself.

I would really like the original thread opened back up again - we had wonderful pics/gifs/posts and the such and it was admitted that we were the ones not at fault - please open up that thread again. What do we have to do to get it opened up again? Do we have to pay a fee, write 100 times that we will no longer entertain such rude and uncalled for comments from thread crashers or say 5 Hail Marys?

Right...he surrounded himself with women his entire life, and not only for sex, but because he preferred being with women...because we got him, and he got us. And panel after panel after panel we get to hear what the fanboys thought, and very rarely do conversations about his work or his legacy pay any attention to what we thought, despite the fact that this man spent his life with women, and made music that communicated very directly with women....and there are plenty of spaces for the men to talk about their experience of P...and still they decide they need to shut down one of the few places where we're doing our thing, because we're doing it wrong according to the fanboy bible. Sheesh to the power of the purple goddess and then some.

Not like I love my guitar....

I love all these women on this and the previous thread! Wonderful, strong, unashamed and sensual/sexual that only LIFE (and Prince) could ever give us. We are true beauties, ladies, all of us and nobody can ever take that away. Prince would be in our corner on this one...he'd be the one fanning us down - only to work us up again!

yeahthat I sure wish I had saved those gifs. disbelief Can't believe a few men ruined a good thing. So all we're "allowed" to talk about is music, guitars, & the wild speculation on some of these threads?! hmm . Fuck that. disbelief . So r we gonna post here? Or move OUR party 2 the snug thread? idea

Start a new thread. They will never open the old thread and I dont want to hijack someone else's thread that has been around for awhile.

THANK. YOU!!! worship

Sheeeit, lemme go open up ma GIF file and put on ma damn WalMart glasses up in here.

hug & remember Sis P didn't like fanboys, wasn't comfortable with that ish. Jill, Robin & others have spoke on it. Last thing he wanted was them 2 bring some fanboy up 2 meet him, women? Now that was all good biggrin

Lawyers, engineers, assistants, designers, management, musicians, chefs...etcetera etcetera. Unfortunately what u speak on is not just in P fan circles. It's in the music/art world all over. Sickening. Some mf's need 2 do the real herstory on creativity/art & women.

Nice guitar, I prefer the cloud tho lol

Never liked the symbol guitar, white cloud every time, or the hohner, or the pale blue strat - look, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GUITARS (do we get fanboy points?) lol
