I like the story about rich ugly accomodating ladies but mostly I like how it's tight, dry 1988 Prince.

Though Dear Mr Man, Don't Make Me Sleep On The Couch and Reflection are far better.

So glad I'm not alone in my love for "Illusion, Coma, Pimp & Circumstance"!! Def my favorite from this funky album . Song is just so unique. My 2nd fave is "The Marrying Kind/If Eye Was The Man In Ur Life"...I count those as one song.

Title song stands out on an otherwise very mediocre Prince album. I was disappointed at the time that this was his big "comeback".

Same. I love the "Prince of a million voices" on it. That and I can't not dance to it.

Not with that intro, it actually made me skip it many times before I gave it a chance. But that's all fixed cause I edited the lady out on mine lol.

Oh my, you are right! I had never given it much of a chance just because of that intro (and the woman's voice), but other than that, I agree that it actually is a great track.

It also reminds me of Laydown (from 20Ten) in some parts.

It has to be either Reflection or Call My Name.
