If I remember correctly, at one time when P was talking about having kids he stated that they would be raised out of the spotlight and could make the decision to become public on his/her own after age 18. That doesn't mean he may not have supported the child or interacted with him. Also, does it say when the DNA testing was completed? Perhaps this is the info the attorneys office had. Maybe there was a trust, or info that already had DNA testing and a determination that he us P's son.

Interestingly enough....they did not retract that story nor did the National Enquirer nor any of the other media outlets that ran with it. It remains unknown, like it or not, agree with it or not.

Hopefully this particular story will have a wonderful outcome.

Lock because you don't like the publication and because you don't believe their story? I don't get it. Who are some of you to say their stories about Prince arent true? The estate, nor those in charge of the estate, ever sued this publication because they would have to present evidence the stories were false. That tells me they may not be able to do that.

I'm afraid the court will need to see a picture of claimant doing the splits before it can write an opinion.

I look at it like this: if they were presented with information that proved beyond a doubt (ie autopsy report maybe?) that something they printed was wrong, I'd think they would want to take it down. I have no idea though, I am not in that line of work.

Some people don't care enough to even acknowlegde gossip tho. Prince very rarely did when he was alive. He certainly can't do it now...

Only if he had a relationship with this person. Again, that's IF this is true. IF it was a child he never knew about and never met I don't think it's right that they deserve his estate (though they probably would get some of it anyway).

The Law doesn't care about what we think, relationship or no relationship with the father, that's why People that really want to do right have a Will. So with no Will, The Law of Minnesota will dictate how the Estate will be settled! eek biggrin

And I think somebody from Minnesota that knows the law up there, mention if this is really his son he could get it all, Is this correct???

That's cool. We can all have differing opinions about things smile . This will either be proved or not...we're ALL going to wait it out no matter what smile

Sooner or later (sooner, imo wink ), people will talk and the stories will come out. I already know how I feel about him, so while I'd like to know all of the truth, it's not going to change my feelings toward him. I love Prince and treasure what he has given to us.

I find it hard to believe Prince would not want the world to know he had a son. He wanted children so bad, according to all the articles we have read. I just find it hard to believe that if he did have a son, he wouldn't have had his son at Paisley Park all of the time, teaching him the music that made him so famous. And I find it hard to believe that a mother would not want her son to have a loving relationship with his father, especially if it was Prince. Just doesn't sound true.

Who knows if Prince knew he had a son or not? eye

God I hope it's true. The crazy thing is just this morning I was thinking about P and thinking"how could he not have ANY kids anywhere? Not even one? I was thinking he had to be the most careful man in the world when it came to safe sex and practicing birth control! Log on this afternoon to read this! Wow.....sitting back to watch how this plays out.... eek

Independent genetic testing at a Santa Monica lab, has verified that an unidentified man in his 30s whose mother allegedly had several liaisons with Prince in the 1980s, has DNA showing Prince has a 99% probability of being the man's father. eek

Consider the source though - the Santa Monica Observer is the rag that was pushing the whole "HIV-positive" angle for weeks and weeks. I'm taking this "news" with a grain of salt for now. Plus, "independent genetic testing" - so, that's not exactly official it seems...

Well they owned up to in this article:

"Our source also says that the Santa Monica company has sequenced the Artists entire genome. " you can recover a person's entire medical history from there Genime. He definitely did not have HIV/AIDS" she told us." In the interest of disclosure this contradicts an article written by my colleague, Kristen Peach."

If someone knew about a child they had and had a relationship with them (or were providing financial support) that would be one thing. But if you never met this person and didn't even know they were your child why should they be entitled to your estate?

the harsh truth is this is why he should have had a damn will. With a will none of this would matter. It would be like "oh that is interesting but sorry you're not in the will..."

So yes it is RIGHT that any child(ren) of his get it all.

Damn Right!!! mad razz biggrin

Great, maybe it isn't true! My only thought though: WHERE did they get the material to test and WHEN was it taken? They are indicating they have dna that isn't the same as what all the other "heirs" are being tested against? Because the timeline when the sample was obtained does matter.

What I'm finding even more interesting though is that the author is continually changing the article yet not indicating all these edits he has made to his original article anywhere.

FACT: Princes DNA was sent to ONE facility, the one listed in the article. The dates are irrelevant.

Maybe in terms of what was taken from the autopsy.

But what if hair from a hairbrush was saved...to use as proof, if needed?. Are there other ways to collect dna and keep it for years....nail clippings, toothbrush? What else could there be?
