I guess it depends on what an individual wants. There's nothing to be gained towards an understanding of ancient Egypt from reading Massey. Some people may enjoy the books, but if that understanding is the intention then they're a waste of time.

Uh, I don't know about 500 hours worth of Prince talking I was quite going for. (dear gawd I could just imagine) But the idea he left something to piece together would be really nice.
