I couldn't agree more. This is so much more genuine, loving, and satisfying. Much more appropriate to Prince's impact on the world of music and his influence to gererations of artists. BET has thus far done a very well. Even if I don't like all of the performers, they have produced a VERY good show so far. Bravo and gratitude to BET for giving Prince his propers.

Because like most of the people in the audience -- those watching at home are young and have never heard of Prince, short of 3 or 4 songs.

I am watching at the BET awards, and i knew I would be emotional... The tributes are good, but I am still so sad. Sad because I am still hurting so bad that Prince is gone, but also it seems that our music has also passed away. A more fitting tribute would be to have all performances given by real musicians, and song-writers, and not just people singing over the same tracks.

Erykah and Bilal were good, and I appreciate Dave Chappelle's intro, however, I am missing Prince more that ever now, and there does not seem to be anyone that will take his place.

Going to try to finish watching this but I don't know if I can make it.
