Most unlikely Prince fan?

With so many 'celebrities' paying tribute to Prince and his massive contribution to music and culture in general, which person has turned out to be the most surprising fan of Prince (musician or otherwise)? For me it was Axl Rose as I thought he dissed P at Rock in Rio in the early 90s

Lady Gaga

She name drops Prince in the booklet of her debut The Fame, yet I don't know in what way Prince has influenced her. She mentioned him a few times in her early interviews and usually name dropped him next to Bowie which is understandable but I don't see any Prince influence on her. I know she's not a real fan but why mention him? She could've mentioned Madonna but let's not go down that road lol

Yep, he sat a few rows behind me at the 1st September o2 show. I had front row at the back of the stage. Another unlikely 'celeb' I spotted at one of the o2 shows was Brian Burnett of Scottish weather forecasting fame . he walked past before the show. That was on 11th August when I was had a front row auction seat with celeb fan Puff Daddy at a table right in front of me.
lol lol lol

I don't think anyone is an unlikely fan. Prince always wanted his music to uplift and inspire people. His musical style transcended genre, gender, religion, or anything else. It simply was. Anyone with ears is a viable candidate to be a fan.

.

Like some of the other here have attested, Bill has been a steadfast fan throughout the years. I saw him in the queue for one of the Roundhouse gigs in London back in 2014 - just the general public queue, no airs or graces about him.

.

He also wrote a mini-review for one of the O2 gigs for the Telegraph in 2007:

Prince at the O2: Concert...an achieve

...and numbers SOTT as one of his 6 Best Albums:

I sat next to Bill at one of the parade shows in 1986.

For me it was Rob Thomas

I'm a big matchbox 20 fan (distant second favorite) and I was surprised.

His song of the day for 2 weeks were Prince songs until he couldn't do it anymore because if he kept song of the day as Prince he'd never have another's work to post.
No matter the ©️, Paisley Park "official can never ™️ prince. He gave that to us verbally on Oprah in 1996. You can't take prince away from us, corporate. I mean O ( + >

Icke admits to not being a music lover.

He loved Prince as a fellow celebrity conspiracy-theorist. Which, sadly, is what he was.

Icke was interviewed on the BBC just a few days ago. He confirmed once more that he believes the Queen is a giant lizard wearing a human disguise. I wonder if other recently-outed Prince fan Helen Mirren played her with that in mind.
