No, more than likely it is a tune that was at the beginning or middle stages of their careers. Look at The Rolling Stones. It shows a performer at his most confident. Prince knew he was it at that point and he unleashes a perfect hard driving song to confirm that. At the peak of his powers, and he knew it. But what you are missing is this was on a record you buy in a store and play on your turntable...not on stage. That song "Mountains," as I said earlier, was a command performance. It wasn't on stage, it was over my radio, on my turntable, through my CD player. It was a man at the peak of his powers.
