28 or more. 1st one was Detroit June 1986 and the last was Detroit April 2015. I never imagined I would not ever see another show again. On the bright side I'm thankful and blessed to see him as much as I did. Best nights of my life!

.

The Jam of the Year, Love 4 One Another, and New Power Soul shows run together in my head. I saw him multiple times throughout that period. Multiple Musicology shows too. Basically almost every Detroit and Ohio show he did from 1986-2015. Once at Paisley Park and at Northrop Auditorium. Twice in one night in Chicago.

.

7 times all in Sydney. No aftershows or soundchecks. That's my biggest regret.

1992 Diamonds and Pearls,
Sydney Cricket Ground (large stadium concert). With my brother.

2003 World Tour, Sydney Entertainment Centre. On my own.

2012 Welcome 2 Australia, All Phones Arena. With a friend.

2016 Piano & A Microphone, Sydney Opera House (both shows. 2nd row for show 2). State Theatre Sydney. Both shows. On my own all 4 shows.

About 30 times, including aftershows. First gig was Lovesexy at Wembley in 88; last show was the Roundhouse in 2014.... wish I'd seen him three times as many times. Had NPGMC tickets to see him at MSG (and a flight) but had to cancel because of work. And didn't see him much in the 90s cos I kind of went off him. What was I thinking....

Man, am I regretting the decision to choose work over what would be Prince's next to last concert. sad

But, in retrospect, maybe it is better to remember the chance I finally got in 2014 to see him in a small club when he was healthy and hale, just three feet away from the stage...

Three times since 2010.

1 x '10 Welcome to America Tour at NY's Madison Square Garden (Janelle Monae/Mint Condition opened)

1 x '15 HitNRun Tour in Washington, D.C. (Stevie Wonder played Superstition, SSD)

1 x '16 Piano and a Microphone in ATL

Still in awe that I caught his final performance. There was something otherworldly about that show and the way he performed.

time flies.

It's really nice to read everyone's gig history.

I think I have seen him around 15 times, starting with the Nude tour, although I have been a fan since 1984. Most of my gigging was between 1990 - 1995, in later years I was in a different job which meant taking time off was difficult, and in more recent times the random nature of the hit & run was impossible for me, due to a health issue can't stand and queue for hours at a time. I did go to one of the 21 Nights at the 02 and was so absolutely thrilled when I got a ticket to see him at the MEN Arena in Manchester in 2014. It had been such a long time since I'd seen him, and it was easier for me to do because the tickets were announced in advance and I could sort out an hotel etc. I remember thinking how amazing he was, and how he was just as brilliant in 2014 as he'd been in 1990.

I am so very grateful for all the times I got to see him, especially the final time. I always wanted to go to an aftershow, or to one of the events at Paisley Park, that never happened for me. But I have seen him a lot in the scheme of things and have some great memories. One I like to think of is the guitar intro to Purple Rain on the Nude tour, I can still see him now with his hair flowing, and the music sending shivers down my spine. I count myself very lucky to have seen him live.

Three unforgettable times.

- Lovesexy Tour '88, Reunion Arena, Dallas, TX

I was 16 years old, and my father bought floor seats, and came with me. sad

Prince made a compliment about women in the audience, and he pointed at a woman on one side of his round stage, and then came over to my side and stood there for what seemed like an eternity.

I couldn't see his face due to the stage lighting, and I waved at him in case he was facing in my direction. He waved back. I was in shock. eek He pointed at me, said "and you" and resumed his performance. I remember telling my boyfriend and best friend about this later, they were both either jealous or didn't want to believe that Prince saw me.

- Jam of the Year World Tour , New Years Eve '97, Summit (now Compaq Center), Houston Tx

I was 25 years old, and won the number draw at my local wrecka stow the day tickets went on sale. I was the first in line to buy tickets. A man in line with me offered to buy my tickets, if I allowed him to also get the seats he wanted. I had free tickets to the show, it was like a gift from God.

- Jam of the Year Afterparty Show, New Years Day '98, Club Echelon, Houston, Tx

I was a daytime person, and I didn't know how afterparties worked. I arrived right after the concert. Prince and Mayte were visibly hanging out in the VIP section of the club, which was an open loft over the main dance floor. They were mere feet away, from myself and a few other female early birds. We were keeping our eyes away from Prince for hours, we talked to each other about not gawking at him, so that he would move to where he couldn't be seen. He stayed in our peripheral vision (while snuggling with Mayte).

Prince took the stage at 3AM, and I snoozed (while standing!) off and on through the first half of the set. I was seriously not a night person at that time. He even stopped the set to wake me up, I was startled when that happened eek and began to laugh. The crowd was all eyes on me and laughing with/at me too. I stayed awake, embarrassed, for the rest of the set. I hope he forgave me. lol

33 times beginning with the Purple Rain tour. First time I ever experienced an aftershow was in 1988 in Boston. I was fully hooked after that. I was able to see 15 aftershows total. Thank you NPGMC for all the great tickets and sound checks. I never made it to Paisley Park for a show. I will have to go once it becomes a museum. For me the golden ticket was being able to get into one of the shows at the Roosevelt. Will never for get that show and aftershow. I tried to get in to his afterparty at Great American Music Hall on March 4th and doors were shut on me with about 15 people in front of me. No regrets. I was super blessed to see him as many times as I did.

Somewhere between 30-35 times, 1st time could have been his Dirty Mind tour but I was too young to go alone so that didn't happen. When he came back again to Europe several years later with the Parade tour that was my very first time I saw him Live and it was glorious, it was like a dream come true. I'm very grateful to have discovered him so early in my own life and early in his career.

7 times - but 1 of those times includes Xenophobia Celebration - so I saw him nightly for a week so that would actually make it like 13 times.

And the last time was his last Essence here in New Orleans - 2014. And I brought my children with me so they got to witness him live! I can not even begin to express how glad I am that I brought them with me to that concert! I wish I saw him again since then, and I'm soooo sad to know that I'll never see him again, but so glad that I had the opportunity to share that night watching his amazing wonderment with my children!

3. In Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Had he come on 5 December 2015 as was the original plan and I had got a ticket it would have been 4. I had excitement for when an Amsterdam date would be announced again. He was going to play in the Carre theatre on the Amstel. A stone's throw away from the Amstel hotel where he would stay and 2 stones from my work office. Paris atacks changed all that. And now our Man is just not here anymore. sad At least in body....

Close to 100. Perhaps a bit more, perhaps a bit less. I need to try to figure out exactly. This is over a 34 year period (My first 2 shows were March of 1982 when I was 17) so it really only averages to 3 times a year and there were many years I saw him a lot more times than that! Went to many many Paisley shows in 1995, 96 and on.... those are the shows I'm sketchy on since it was so often. Also went 7 nights in a row during celebration 2002, just many many shows over the years. Last ones were a great show Nov 2015 when we sat on the floor on pillows and after he played we were all treated to the new James Bond film at Chanhassen Cinema, and then I went to both shows in January of Piano and a microphone. *sigh* I thought I would be going to shows at Paisly anothr 20 years or more....

1993 Act I in Chicago (April 4) with my girlfriend... first time for both of us. We'll never forget that show... we met Mayte and Mavis Staples out front of the Chicago Theater before the show.

2 or 3 more times here in St. Louis. I'll never forget seeing him in 2004 here in St Louis. My first time sitting first row (NPGMC seats). We met and talked with the band all night (Maceo, John B., Candy, Greg B.) as they came and went from the stage. At one point Prince came out from under the stage during an instrumental segment... It was dark and I don't think anyone saw him. I called over to him "Hey Prince!"

As he came over to us I put out my hand and he put something in it... Prince gave me a Jehovah's Witness Watchtower! I still have it...

Last time in Chicago Musicology Tour (2004)

Sadly, he never got to come back to St. Louis as we were his last scheduled/canceled show stop before he died...
