How does TMZ keep getting info before anyone else in the world? Who are these people?

It's very curious to me that some of you really don't know what TMZ is

that might be a good thing tho

Anyone else here feel that his sister is a bit too quick out of the gate with this? The man only passed a few days ago and she is confident there is no will? Has she looked on all of his computers? Has she turned Paisley Park upside down? Has she spoken with all of his lawyers? And does anyone else believe her husband's story of Prince not having slept for 6 days? I mean- how would he know? I don't know where I'm going with this, but something just doesn't feel right.

There has been a whole bunch of crap of this situation that doesn't or hasn't feel right!

Sorry, but GirlBrother has brought us no proof of anything. No disrespect to you, Girl, but the truth is that Tyka stated that there is no will and so far there is no evidence whatsoever that what she's saying is not true. We can research Minnesotan law all we want, but it's not going to bring us any closer to answering the question of whether Prince had a will or not. And with Prince being a guy who wanted to live "in the moment" more than anything, I still say it's entirely possible he had arranged something close 2 nothing.

Why do people find it so hard to believe that Prince may NOT have made a will? The only real function of a will is to give specific assets to specific people. Can you really see him sitting down and thinking "I want Sheila E. to have my house, Levi to have all my guitars"? What did he do in life to make you think he would be concerned with what happened after he died? He barely liked looking at the past, I highly doubt he was thinking about a future where he didn't even exist....

Having a will saves your family tons of money and settles things quickly. If one of the siblings holds out and cause trouble on how best to manage the assets, it can cause the others to spend a ton of $ on protecting their claim. Also ALL siblings will share equally which doesnt give him the opportunity to accurately reflect who amoung them he trusted the most.

It is beyond stupid and selfish to not have a will when you have the wealth Prince had and no clear heirs (like a wife or children).

I've never bought into Prince was a business genius bullshit. He was actually quite naive.

It's happened very quickly. Definitely. I mean, the cremation, the private memorial, the meet & greet.

But I think this Special Administrator application isn't suspicious at all.

I'm more bothered by Tyka eating Cheetos when collecting the ashes; when you'd expect her to be too distraught to stand, let alone eat... But that's just me, I suppose.

My name's Justin. smile

And none of this is proof of there being a will or not.

But it's evidence that TMZ are ballooning this particular legal move into something that it isn't.

Starlit

I don't know anything about US law, but I thought a will couldn't be executed until there was a death certificate, so in this case until after the results of the autopsy have come in ? I wonder if anyone can gets his/her hands on his estate before the cause of death has been determined. But I could be completely wrong about this.

It would strike me as very odd that someone like Prince, who wanted total control over his music and considered his music to be the one thing he wanted people to remember him for, never ever in his life thought about this....

I wouldn't be surprised if he already had a will drawn up 30 years ago. And why would his sister know : even if they had become close again in recent year, I'm not sure you would bring this up in casual conversation...

I hope he didn't go the way my father did; tell "close" friends what he wanted. And dad basically handled his business but this one thing he did not do. I went to those "close" friends and not one of them admitted to having a clue what he wanted. I got the impression either they really weren't listening when he rambled on and honestly didn't have a clue or they disagreed with his decisions and didn't want to get involved so they just let him talk while they nodded their heads. I ended having to get a lawyer and my dad did not have much money, it worked out with not much fuss. In this case I can see folks on all sides getting lawyered up, so I'm hoping something surfaces, but my hoping doesn't make it so.

And not to forget her telling mourners outside Paisley Park to go home cause it was raining. It promoted a mourner to answer 'He was worth it'. Just struck me as odd that she would seem like it's an ordinary day. Then again, a loss like this does have strange effects on people who react in different ways. I just think it seems hasty to decide that there is no will.

But were they Flamin' Hot Cheetos? I work with people who will chop your hand off if you take their Flamin' Hot Cheetos...they are quite addictive. lol On a serious note, I just think the family is really taking a lot of consideration to Prince's religious beliefs and also towards the dedicated fans who are mourning him soo deeply. The fact that they took the initiative to give out purple hat boxes filled with Prince tour memorabilia spoke volumes to me. No disrespect in saying what I'm about to say, but they could have handled it the way MJ's family handled his ceremony by making it a televised spectacle. That may have ultimately been what MJ wanted in the end but we all know that Michael and Prince were definitely not on that same page in regards to their public appearances. I think it's nice to see that Prince's family didn't draw it out We have truly lost two of the greatest artists in the history of recorded sound....music will never be the same sad

Oh! Eating "Flamin' Hot" ANYTHING would seem even more disrespectful in a crematorium. Let's hope they were just regular ones - and that's ratchet enough as it is.

Um... I mean, to me it would seem ratchet.

Everybody grieves differently. I guess some people like to snack in crematoriums etc. etc. etc.

I'm not judging. I'm just expressing how... surprised I was by the addition of corn puffs when collecting her sibling's bodily remains, and how it bothered me because I had lost my appetite for a couple of days after the news - and I didn't even know him.

Does any one even know how close he was with Tyka? to my knowledge he wasn't. And why would he want his step brother maurice outisde paisley doing interviews on prince's behalf? it just all seems out of place. Like they were ready for the spotlight. I'm glad someone else brought up eating hot cheetos outside the crematory because I thought that was rather odd. I also noticed a new Micheal Kors bag. I hope I am wrong but this is how these people are coming across. For prince to not have a will is also strange.

It is really odd and a bit icky that she would want to eat in a funeral parlor/crematorium but she must have really wanted to take her mind off of it and food has that ability. I must admit that reading that she was eating Cheetos did put an image into my head that gave me a bit of a chuckle. Remember when Prince was licking on that lollipop during that awards performance and Quincy Jones put the mic in his face to sing and Prince in turn put the lollipop in Quincy's face? For some reason, that was the visual I got from reading that just now and it put a big smile on my face. Prince, ever the joker. lol People really do grieve differently. I personally don't see the point funerals and think caskets are unnecessary...something about seeing a body laying in a box just offends me honestly. It's the empty shell of someone we loved and cherishd so why are we looking at it in a fancy box when we could be just looking at pictures and videos of them when they were here with us? For many, that's what works for them but I don't get closure from going to funerals it actually makes me feel worse. I'm all about getting cremated when I depart this life and I just want to be sprinkled somewhere nice with only a few close loved ones around to see it and then I would love for them all to have a blow out party afterwards with lots of music and food. Different strokes for different folks as they say wink

This from Variety:
The documents ask that Bremer Trust, a corporate trust company that has handled Prince’s financial affairs for several years, be named temporary administrator of the estate until a representative is appointed.

What the fuck?!?!???!?!? How does a professional trust company NOT push for a will to be filed?!?!?!?!?

they can push but that dowsnt mean he had to listen,,that cant dictate, he is the client

From a personal estate, I understand. But an incorporation? A business where things need to be paid? How do they plan on keeping the lights on, the staff paid, and the taxes up to date?

It looks like people are able to look deeper into this. It just sounds like the Trust company worked not just with Prince's personal finances, but with Paisley Park Enterprises Inc. as well.

On the other hand, PP regularly had the business license revoked for failure to pay taxes, so I don't know. I'm going to hate hearing about the business side of this. It sounds like a huge clusterfuck.
