Love some of the ones already posted, and for me the choice is always Bob George which has already been mentioned.

Being as that one has been taken though I'm going with Count tne Days. Love that period, the White Room show is up on Yoiutube and really enjoyed watching that and Get Wild this morning with a bit of Mark Radcliffe sarcasm chucked in for good measure biggrin

Two fantastic songs from two not so great albums. Wasted Kisses from New Power Soul and Strange but True from Rave album.

Strays Of The World

That chorus shouldn't work in theory. But when Prince does it in practice, it's just grand.

"Strays of the world;
BADA-BAM-BADADADA-DAM! (instrument sounds)

23 years of listening to his music and I finally discover his collaboration with Kate Bush - Why Should I Love You.
Always liked My Computer, yet both now have a disturbingly ethereal quality to them and WSILY hits hard. Find then both uplifting and yet tragic at the same time.
Can't believe Lenny Henry does the backing vocal :)

Otherwise I would go for Hallucination Rain
This is what it's like in the dream factory...

I'm just discovering Electric Intercourse. That benefit concert was amazing.

Such a sexy/ passionate song...I especially love one of the rehearsal versions (I believe it is take2 on purple rush) but any version is amazing..... (love when he calls out "we'd like to do a thing right now...fantasy"...."verse" and "too early")...

1000 Hugs and Kisses - he played it during 21 Nights, just him and a piano. I honestly thought I'd cry. I'd give anything to hear that version again.
