Let us all know when soon. I requested off from work yesterday June 3rd through the 10th. Please let me know if this is not going to be the right dates to come to mpls. So I can make the right vacation date selections at work for time off. Hotel reservation and plane flights ect. I figured you would do this around he week of his birthday june 7th since it would make sense as well as still give you over a month to rehearse and get things set up.All my Love and thanks to the Revolution members for even wanting to do this. Thanks,Michelle BasartPortland ORegon

How are we supposed to be happy?? How do we celebrate??? I can't.

I hear you, for me, I just feel no matter what celebration or tribute shows, it will never be the same without Prince, so I guess those shows are no interest for me, like it will be of interest for other fans. All one can do is embrace the good memories of his performances that they experienced when he was alive. The music will never be the same without Prince. May the angels bless him and keep his spirit/soul in peace.

I have gone to see the Purple Experience tribute show a couple of times and if you like Prince's music, it is just very enjoyable. So I would see the Revolution as just a bigger tribute band. But tix to Purple Experience are $15 each and I wouldn't pay a lot to see the Revolution. Also it will just be depressing becuase Prince is gone now...maybe it will be different in a month, but right now I wouldn't go.

The tribute concert in Paradiso, Amsterdam last night was pretty cool. Most artists kinda played the songs in a similar way Prince would have done.

But Hallo Venray really made a very different arrangement for Controversy. Either you love it, or you hate it, I guess.

There is some good stuff in there. Who is the girl who did the vocals on I Wanna Be Your Lover...and she was singing on How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore, as well..

Ok found it.. answering my own question. ... https://m.facebook.com/Je...icialpage/

(Bolded part) Exactly. It will never be the same. I get that they want to do a tribute show to pay their respects to their former boss, but for me, now that he's gone, there will never be any musician/performers that can replace what Prince the musician/performer gave to his fans. I am thankful for having the opportunity to experience many of his shows. May he rest in peace.

It would b great if Sheila got back 2gether all of the main players that Prince worked with. Would love 2 see Martika sing 'Love thy will be done' as she is often overlooked. Also Mazarati - no-one seems 2 have mentioned them. And it should be televised 4 those who can't make it 2 the concerts.

For me its about being with Prince FAMS! I need to be with those that can relate right now. So the trip to MPLS for me will be not just to see the band members but to be with Prince Family of Fams! And to pay my respects at Paisley Park/First Avenue ect. I can't say Goodbye but I have to show my love and caring for him and with those that loved him.

You know Patti will participate if Shelia asks her to...I only want The Godmother of Soul to sing one of the 3 Songs Prince wrote for her...My favorite is a track called "I hear your voice"...That song is too Damn smooth and it was not released as a single...All the Big Names/Divas that recorded Prince's music should ONLY sing the songs he picked for them back-in-the-day......I Hope Shelia follows her heart and do what she feels led to do...

I wouldn't care to C Pattie LaBelle a part of the associate shows. She can do her own thing, same with Chaka Khan

I also assume the Time will be getting together. So Jerome most likely if he chooses will be with them, and the Family might try to get him back to do some stuff with them.

If Sheila E. is rounding people up she is definately going to get the 80s bands together. Those are the ones she associates with, she's done a few shows with the Time, some shows with the Family, and of course her connection to the Revolution, not to mention did some shows with Dr Fink, and had Wendy & Lisa (and Susannah) in some CoEd band shows and did many other of her performances and Wendy & Lisa had her perform at some of their functions etc

Im sorry but. At this point i dont see the point without Prince. This is for them and us. Not Prince. He wasnt interested in a revolution gathering.

Do not attend then. They want to celebrate a legacy THEY ARE PART OF.

Go away with your negativity.

Family Asks Sheila E. to Plan Prince Tribute: ‘It Is Going to Be Pretty Incredible’

The singer said, “Right now. I am in charge of putting that whole thing together as requested from the family, so it will be very interesting because there are so many people over the years who have been a part of his legacy as well. And for all of us to get together and play together one more time for him, it is going to be pretty incredible.”

She continued, “We will have something for the public as well. I think that would be something he would want for them. He worked his entire life and wrote songs for them, and did that for them, for the fans. He loved them very much.”

Sheila E. insisted, “Prince wasn’t the guy to talk about death.”

“We never knew this was coming,” she added. “He never planned anything, and so the decisions have been between a couple of us and the family to make sure we represent him in the way that we think that he would want to because there is nothing on paper right now. We are trying to abide by his wishes as if he was here as much as we can, despite what we would love to do.”

L.A. Tribute Planned

April 28

A public memorial tribute for Prince has been planned in Los Angeles for May 6, city hall organizers announced on Facebook Friday.

"Our very own City Hall was the prime location for the
Diamonds and Pearls video," read the message. "The City of Los Angeles is proud to have been the home away from home for a tremendous talent that touched our city." The event, to be held at the Los Angeles City Hall, is free to the public and will start at 5 p.m.
